Philip T.wrote a review of Lake CX 237 Wide Cycling Shoe - Cycling - Men's on August 23, 2018
Familiarity: I've used it several times
So I've been through 3 sets of shoes and thought when I switched to Shimano, I would have a shoe plenty wide enough. Unfortunately not. after a lot of research, I settled on Lake CX237 wide. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Not only is the toe box wide enough, but the leather upper has nicely conformed with ongoing use.
The sole is plenty stiff. Good energy transfer and feels solidly connected to the bike.
I was a bit skeptical of the measuring system, but it was right on and really was as simple as tracing my feet onto paper. Definitely true to sizing chart.
This is the first time in over 10 years that I haven't had hot spots on my feet for thought about foot pain while riding...just sad it took me so long to bite the bullet and spend the money, but well worth it.
Would recommend these to anybody with a wider foot or bunions.
