Brilliantly designed

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I needed a 38cm at the hoods so the 40cm is just right with enough flair so not to whack my knees in the drops. Kevlar reinforcement gives me some peace of mind as I was nervous about going carbon. The shape when wrapped at first seemed odd to me as they do not flatten out on top (the cables are routed underneath) but rather roll slightly inward, which makes the PERFECT palm rest when holding the tops. So far no hand fatigue on several 25 mile rides, but have yet to go 50+ miles which I will do soon.

After 3 sets of open corsa cx III's I went for the G+... It's very handsome tan sidewall. Really looks great on the bike exceeding my expectation in that respect. The tire is grooved, and only occasional gravel bits got stuck, but not really an issue. These tires roll like a dream with latex tubes, but after 500 miles, I got a pretty deep cut to the rear tire which I mended with duct tape and liquid rubber and rotated to the front. I was then able to stretch these out to about 2040 miles since 2/8/2018. Decided to retire them when I changed my chain and noticed yet another buldge/cut on the rear. Upgrading my review to a 4 star... they look cool for one, and they did outperform the Open Corsa III's by a longshot. Compared to Conti 4000's the size 25's are bit plumper on my DA C40 wheel-set. Would I buy the again?....you bet. I'll be running the G+ Control version in the winter and run these afterwards.

First set of 25's from here gone in 560 miles. Severe cut/hole in tread. Tried some 23's, from probikekit, gone in 155 miles. Sidewall blowout. Third set of 25's from Comp Cyclist gone in 285 miles. Severe cut in tread and bubbled. Done flushing money down toilet. Lovely ride with latex but hear the Whoosh. I average 140miles per week.

Poor quality construction. Cracked severely and I don't even know when it had an impact. The rear apex is a vulnerable point in construction and not very sturdy. Also the fit and finish of the one I received was very poor with excess foam in the seams needing to be trimmed off. The only thing I liked was the fit system, and strap, but during hot rides, sweat would pour into my eyes. Also I did not like the way it bulges on your head, seems a little fat. For this money, there is way better.
