Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The material, styling, and fit of this jersey are incredible. As soon as I received it and tried it on, I got back on the backcountry website and ordered another one. The material is so soft, stretchy, and comfy. It just feels good on you. The fit is true to size. I usually wear a medium in road cycling jerseys, and in this jersey the medium fit me like it was made for me. I am a 34 C, 5', 100 lbs. A lot of the european cycling jerseys run ridiculously small. This one does not. The styling is subtle but sophisticated. It fits, looks, and feels like a jersey that costs $175 not $108. This is the first pinarello product I have purchased and I am impressed with the quality.

I saw these shorts and decided to take a chance on them. I read the other reviewers' reviews to get an idea on sizing. I was between sizes on the Wild Rye Size Chart. I am 5' 100lbs. I ordered both the 2 and the 4. When I tried them on, the Size 2 fit me much better than the 4 which was too big everywhere. I have and use both compression and baggy shorts when I mountain bike. I usually do not look great in the baggy look. I am petite and tend to look overwhelmed or lost in them. When I tried these on, I was quite pleasantly surprised. They actually looked good on me. I think it is because they have a different profile or outline to them from most of the baggy mountain bike shorts out there which I think are designed for men . They are not that wide in the thighs and quads, but then flare out a little around the knee. The nearest thing I can liken them to is a capri/knicker bell-bottom or flare pant. Additionally, the length of these shorts in the size 2 was just right for me even though I am short. It hit at the knee. Most of these baggy shorts are usually way too long on me. The material is four way stretch, an improvement over most other mountain bike shorts which are only two way stretch. There is no adjustment for the waist either on the outside or the inside of these shorts. So, they either will fit you or they won't. Fortunately for me, they fit. I usually take anywhere from a size 2 to a size 6 in most pants/shorts, so ending up with the Size 2 is in the ballpark.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I agree with the first reviewer. I am smaller than her, and based on her review and my knowledge of how castelli runs, I just ordered the medium and large. I am 5' 100 lbs and normally wear a small or medium in cycling compression shorts. Well the medium was too tight on my waist - painful. The large it was still snug in the waist but the legs were too long and too loose on me. Needless to say both the medium and the large are going back. The fit issue is unfortunately because the short itself is nice. I honestly don't know very many women or body types that would fit into this short comfortably.

If you like a big thick chamois, this short will probably work for you. Personally, I don't like big thick chamois, as i feel like I have a diaper on. I found over the years from cycling, that the thicker plushier chamoises are not more comfortable, and in fact I think there is an inverse relationship between the two. YEs, the first ride or two of the season, your deriere is not going to feel great in any chamois. After that, the chamois does matter. My male riding buddy could not understand why I would complain that my derriere hurts after mile 20. It is not my saddle. He insisted on looking at my cycling shorts when the ride was over one day. So, I went into the ladies room where we parked, took them off, and turn them inside out and walked out with my street shorts on. One look at them and he told me, this chamois is just too big , dense, and thick. Less is more according to him. So my next pair of cycling shorts had a smaller, less thick, and less dense chamois. ANd, guess what, my derrierer did not hurt anymore. Sorry to say ladies that I had to learn this from a man, but I did.

Skratch makes the best tasting, best ingredients, and best results products out there. This drink is just one example of their quality products. It tastes better than all the rest, has natural ingredients and not chemicals you can't pronounce, and gives you great results. What more can you ask for. The Lemon Lime is my favorite. I use this road biking , mountain biking, and hiking. It makes your camelback taste better after you use it Some of these other products you put in your camelback you can never get that taste out, and it is not a great taste.

If you are looking for a warm jersey, this is it. Very soft, plush, lush and comfy thick fleece jersey. Once you put this on, you may never want to take it off. While it is thick fleece, the top weighs very little. It is not windproof, but I have other windproof jerseys and jackets and just wanted a jersey for cool and cold weather. I usually wear a medium in Castelli form fit tops but in this one, I had to downsize to the small. It was still long enough on me though. I am 5', 100 lbs. This top is so nice, I have several of them.
