Lets be real-It isn't hard messing up biking socks, jerseys, or gloves. But biking pants? That is a make it or break it! I feel like I've tried almost every mountain biking pants on the market, and been disappoint in some way. So I was very skeptical at first when trying these pants. After some long rides-putting them through the wringer. I cant find anything wrong with them.... Like im shook. Backcountry made the best MB pants on the market.. Not just saying that. The are durable to handle all your spills and OTB's. Very flattering and soft on. No scratchy material. And they are FUNCTIONAL! The fabric has enough stretch that allows you to get in the deepest riding positions, not restricting you. Phone fits perfectly in the pocket, it isn't getting in the way while pedaling. Very breathable. Yes, the orange color is sweat proof..... Lastly that price point! I've paid an absurd amounts for MB pants that arent half as good as these. Dont think, just buy. These are everything you've dreamed a MB short would be.

I have an tiny waist and an athletic build hips, and thighs. Id say they fit true to size.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this shirt due to not having a HUGE brand name logo covering the WHOLE SHIRT! Backcountry got creative with some SICK designs-that is nothing on the market. Then branded it with a small Goat on the sleeve. Simple but yet still different then all of my FOX, POC and TLD shirts that all look the same.....Super breathable and sweat wrecking! The armpit have panels to allow more air flow in-So you don't have those huge embarrassing sweat marks . Flattering, feminine cut. So it doesn't look like a XL T-shirt hanging on you.

I'll admit it-the design is what got me on this glove. I didn't want to have the SAME BLACK GLOVES that everyone else has! Love how it isn't super tight or Velcro around the wrists. So they aren't cutting off the circulation like other gloves do. Soft and breathable for those hotter days. For my downhill resort days, I wish it had thicker padding for adsorbing the vibrations. Therefore I gave it a 4/5 star.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

What a game changer! Plenty of room in the zipper for my tools, phone, and snacks. The pack sits perfectly on my hips-forgot it was even there. Therefore, I was able to climb technical sections better! It was also nice not to have backpack weighting me down. So my back wasn't sore at the end of my ride.

Can we also acknowledge the Shark color? Nothing on the market like it! Nice not to have the same pack as everyone else.

I refuse to buy a helmet with the MIPS technology. You only get one brain. I will protect it as much as I can. The last think you want to be worrying about while riding next to a bunch of cars going 25+ MPH, will my helmet protect me if I took a hit, or fall. So if a helmet offers better protection like MIPS...Just pay the extra amount for it!

Trace’s AirEvac system relieves hot air that builds up on your eye wear to prevent fogging. Eyewear storage is made easy by channels on the side of the helmet that hold your eyewear in place for those grueling climbs.
