Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have now made extensive use of this saddle. I've done several centuries and a few rides of 60+ miles. I can say this is by far the most comfortable saddle that I've ever used. I feel little or no pressure on any sensitive area. I recommend that everyone give this saddle a shot.

I have now ridden about 300 miles on this saddle and I find it to be very comfortable. I do not feel any pressure on my rear, even after more than 2.5 hours of riding. I did need a little time to get used to the thickness of the shortened nose but the cutout relieves pressure. I give it 4 stars now but would look to reevaluate the saddle after some 60+ mile rides.

I weigh 182 so I take 4 pills a half hour before riding. I wanted to top my best weekly ride total this past week. I believe that Sport Legs helped me accomplish my goal. The week was hard, with some fast work and a lot of climbing on other days. The fatigue and burn was definitely minimized. As an experiment, I have ridden for two weeks without Sport Legs in the past and there is no doubt that the rides were harder.

I've not had much brand loyalty in the past few years, buying the best tire that I could get at a good sale price. Generally I found that all the tires in the class of the Vittoria EVOs, the Vredestein Fortezzo etc. were basically the same. Then I bought the Conti 4000sII at a great sale price. These tires outshine all the others that are considered race tires. I bought the 700X25, pumped them up to 100 rear and 95 front (I ride the Hed Ardennes Plus LT wheel) and found the ride to be exceptionally smooth and fast. I can't comment yet on durability (honestly, we don't expect great durability out of a so-called racing tire) as I only have about 400 miles on the tires.
I now will have brand loyalty- these tires are my go-to brand.

The choice of a saddle is very personal and everyone seems to have their favorite. I saw the Turbo 1980 on the website and was reminded how much I liked this saddle 36 years ago when it was a bit of a groundbreaker and very popular with the top pros. The price was very reasonable so I bought it just for the retro look. To my delight, I was reminded how much I liked the saddle then and now how much I like it. The shape is very different than what I had been riding for over 5 years but I did find a sweet spot where the comfort is maximized and I also seem to be able to generate some extra power to the pedal stroke.

My first impression after one 3 hour ride is that these shorts are quite snug. The sizing called for me to buy an XL. The XL is as tight as I would want the shorts to be. That said, the padding is very effective. This is just a first impression after one wearing but I'm sure that I will like these shorts for the long haul.

We all like to look as good as possible when we ride. I get great compliments on the looks of this jacket. I have worn it with just a long sleeve jersey at 40 degrees and have been comfortable. It will probably be warm below 36 with a third layer.

Italian clothing is usually tight and I go up one size. I am 6 ft 185 lbs and tried the large size. The fit is fine and has the snug racing fit, which is great on windy days.
