Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second KS seatpost and I'm pretty disappointed in this brand and here's why.

1. The top portion of the post that clamps to the seat has some play in it, enough to make it extremely annoying when you're moving around on the bike and lifting the bike by the seat.

2. The clamp system sucks. It doesn't clamp down on the seat rails hard enough and that allows the seat to creak and shift. I've torque'd down the screws to the recommended settings and it still creaks, probably because of #1 above.

3. The seat gets stuck in the down position if it's been in that position for 30 mins or more. The only way to get it to come up automatically when depressing the lever is to tug on it. After the initial tug, it would then work as normal.

Emails to KS didn't resolved the issue. Their support tried to shift the blame on me, saying to make sure the seatpost clamp is torqued correctly, that it needs to be service (really? a 2 week old seatpost needs service?), and that some play is "normal".

I'd give it a zero star if I could, both for the seatpost and for the crap support.
