Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I like to wear bib shorts and these work great over them. While not baggy, they have plenty of room and are very comfortable. The velcro adjustment tabs are great for dialing in the fit without needing a belt. They stay in place and do not stick to or get hung up on my seat. Plenty of pockets for keys, gels, cash, etc. These are my go to when I do not need knee coverage, can't beat them for the price.

I have a slender build and usually wear an XL in bib shorts, went with an L for these because I like a slimmer fit for my outer layers.

When I look in my drawer, if these are available I always grab them first.

The chamois is very comfortable even on longer rides. The legs do have a bit of compression, but the panel construction keeps them from being constrictive. The length of the bibs is just right so the shorts stay in place. The biggest complement I can give them is that I honestly forget about them during the ride. Even after one year of use they are still in great condition. Well worth the price and a screaming deal if you can get them on sale.

I think overall LG has a very strong price to value ratio, these shorts do as well.

I wear an XL in these, same as other brands, the compression will make them feel a touch smaller.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a love / hate relationship with these shorts. On the plus side the chamois is fantastic and they have the right amount of compression. On the horrible side are the bib straps. If you look closely, the edges are not covered and let me tell you they are very sharp. Every other bib short I own has some short of softer material on the edges of the straps to keep them from chafing. Nearly ripped my nips off on the first ride, then tried with band aids and that was not comfortable or effective.

I ended up cutting off the straps just to avoid throwing these in the trash. Without the straps they are quite good shorts.

I wear an XL in Louis Garneau and Pearl Izumi, these feel true to size.
