Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

this is a great pair of gloves that mix breath ability with some padding. This is usually hard to do as you get a glove that last a few days before falling apart. These have lasted pretty long time give the category they are in. I have started to see them tear at the seams at about the 2 month mark riding in them which for me is all you can ask. As a price point mountain glove this is a perfect option!

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

With all the 5.5 inch travel bikes flooding the market pivot had to follow along in suit. Man did they deliver with their offering. This bike takes the idea of a quiver killer to the next level. First thing they did was with tire choice went with 2.6's which i have found to be perfect. I currently ride 2.5's on my current bike, and have felt 2.8's are a bit too big. I feel at 2.6 you get a little more grab on the uphill without having to be all over air pressure to have fun. The bike as expected with Pivots development of DW link over the years is miles stiffer than the competition in the rear end. By shortening this frame, and slacking it provides a fun platform to bike on. This bike is a rocket ship on the down hill and so responsive. It definitely has a stable feel and i love the way it tracks lines so precisely. For me this is the point where it made me faster over other bikes in this category. Per usual pivots are excellent climbers as well so you wont be let down when your forced to grind in the saddle for a few hours. If you are on the fence between options, don't go 29. Keep it 27.5 semi plus with this beauty of a bike from pivot. I am always around to chat through all different options and help decide if this is the bike for you. Please feel free to give me a call anytime!
