Josh Denniswrote a review of Giro Ventana Cycling Shoe on December 10, 2019
Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've ridden the new Ventana more than a handful of times now, and I am super impressed! Phenomenal fitting shoe; lightweight; stiff enough under pedaling pressure, but with enough flex in the toe and torsional flex at the heel to make it a great shoe off the bike too.
The shoe fits a little wider than other Giro shoes I've had (Terraduro, Privateer, Empire VR90), and runs a little bigger. I had worn a 46 in the all the other shoes mentioned here, but wear a 45 in this shoe. Admittedly, I wore a 46 in those shoes to get some extra width -- 45.5's were the right length -- I would recommend sizing down a 1/2 to a full size.
This is the perfect trail shoe!
