Familiarity: I've used it several times
The boa system provides a great fit although I find myself re adjusting mid ride and occasionally one of the boa dials does pop up and lose tension. I've had other boa shoes that do not have this problem, no idea if it's my riding or inherent to the shoe. I use these as a daily ride shoe and my first experience with leather. That being said I find the leather does stretch and has become very comfortable, custom almost but as with leather it does scuff, large and small, kinda expected. Color is awesome, sole is awesome and stiff, tread on bottom is robust enough for hiking up small sections of trail. I had to size down considerably, I usually ride a 45.5 or 45, 10.5- 11 and ended up with a 44, a little tight but has stretched. I had sworks before and got 2 1/2 yrs before they were unrideable, I expect 2 out of these. Weight is not feather light but light enough, doesn't feel bulky on the foot. I have a narrow foot and bought the regular, fits fine.
