Familiarity: I've used it several times

I switch regularly between road and mountain riding and got this helmet to fulfill both functions, and have been using it for a few months at this point (luckily without any crash testing). As other reviews have mentioned, the straps can be a bit finicky to get settled initially, but after fiddling with them for a ride or two to get them set correctly, I stopped even noticing that I'm wearing the helmet anymore, which is exactly how it should be. Other than the under-ear strap clips, the other adjustment options were easy to customize to get the fit right as advertised. Ventilation has been great on both road and mountain rides in a variety of conditions. It's worth noting that the matte finish is starting to flake off slightly revealing gloss underneath just from everyday use and storage over a few months. Overall, I've been pleased with this helmet and would definitely consider purchasing it again when I'm up for a replacement.

I bought a blue Pitchfork rack to install on some Yakima round bars, and it has been great so far for short and long highway trip duty with both a road bike and XC mtn bike. The rack was an easy under-10-minute install and feels solid despite the super-sleek dish (more confidence-inspiring than deeper-dish fork mount racks I've owned in the past from the bigger rack makers). The beefiest part of the system is the fork clamp, which cleverly looks and operates like a screwdriver for adjustment then folds 90-degrees to lever the clamp firmly closed. 100% satisfied thus far.

Works just fine for use as a backup option when there's too much stuff in the car to fit a front wheel. I've used this fork with both mountain and road wheels on short highway trips and a long highway trip with no issues. As other reviews have mentioned, there are a few minor annoyances that could be better:

-- No "safety" catch. The notch at the end of the fork is straight, so it's just the wheel's quick release that holds the wheel on.
-- The clamps do not totally lock the fork in place on Yakima round bars when loaded with a wheel, it will rotate down so the wheel rests on the car roof.

First things first, don't make the stupid mistake I did if you are collecting parts for a full new rack installation: This item is just ONE PAIR of clips; a full rack setup requires TWO PAIRS! Failing to realize this will significantly delay your installation process...

Once installed, they are working great. I have a car with frameless windows, so it looks alarmingly like the windows and Q-clips will collide when opening/closing the doors, but the clearance is perfect when the clips are properly installed.

I recently put together and installed the Q-tower rack system on my Subaru Legacy sedan, which did not have the factory rack mounting points in the roof rails like most newer Subarus. I definitely prefer a rack setup that uses built in mounting points rather than the Q-towers, but they are a perfectly good option when the former are not available. Installation was straightforward other than being a bit annoying running back and forth to get the spacing and tension balanced for each bar. No complaints since getting them installed, they've been solid and quiet even with ski racks and skis on highway trips. Note that this set of Q-towers includes 4 end caps for the round bars, so no need to buy those separately.

A few notes about the end caps from my recent rack purchase and install:
-- If you buy a set of Q-towers, they include the 4 end caps, no need to buy separately. Unless...
-- You don't read ahead in the rack setup instructions and put the end caps on before sliding the tower feet onto the bars. One of the caps was a tight enough fit that I destroyed it trying to get it off. Good thing I had the extras!
-- Other than that, they fit fine, install easily, and work as intended.
