Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are comfy for long and short rides. I like the length, no rolling or tugging at the liner. They do give a little appearance of diaper butt, but I’m not wearing these from the trail to the bar. So it doesn’t matter when your comfortable and not fidgeting on your saddle. I LOVE these shorts. They wash well, I always hang dry and so far I wash them once a week in the washer and hand wash in between for added cleanliness. I use them a lot and they have held up really nicely.

Little piece of shite should be easy to attach. The little freaking bolt doesn’t screw back in and everything just falls off as I’m trying to put this spec into my bike. I got the 22mm and it fits where I’m placing it. But again. The little screw won’t thread and it keeps dropping and then I lose it and scrounge around on the floor. Pissed. And annoyed.

I’ve been looking for some MTB pants (for women) that aren’t sold out in my size. Somehow it’s hard to find women’s MTB pants that aren’t sold out or aren’t super expensive. I needed some pants for cold PNW fall/winter weather. I bought these in small-I’m 5ft 4 130lbs on a good day and these fit great minus the length being a little long. But with the ability to Velcro the ankle I can cinch these up and ride without hinderance. I gave 4 stars because it’s sort of annoying to put knee pads on. I have the Troy lee speed knee pads and since I’m short they go up into my lower thighs so I need to hike them up pretty far. The side zips are great but if they went a bit farther it would be easier to slip on the pad. But for longer skin/knee guards the zips are perfect. I’m also short so for a taller person it wouldn’t be so much a struggle. And I’m talking minor inconvenience. Wait. These pants are great. Excellent knee articulation. Waist Velcro. Good seat and hip room for me. I’m narrow hipped but I do have a bubble butt. The pants fit snug in the butt area but not skin tight-I can still wear my chamois. A Size M would be way too big in length and waist. Good venting in the thighs. Good sized pockets to stash goods. Fits my big iPhone. Fabric is breathable but feels sturdy for wear and tear. I love the green with the bright zips. Plainly put-Norrona is quality, function and style!

this little guy is tiny in size and lightweight but is efficient and gets the job done. I've forgotten my pump before and this little pump was super easy to use and i didnt feel like i have to pump 300 times to get the air i needed. i always have it in my bike bag and i forget its there because its so light!

I’ve had a few different men’s MTB saddles that left me sore and uncomfortable and some were just ok. Did some research and the Ergon SM saddle came highly recommended. Riding sands chamois it did take some time to adjust and I was saddle sore the fist few times I rode but I needed to adjust. Now with or without my padded liners I can’t imagine why it took me so long to get a women’s specific saddle. The cost is totally reasonable compared to the $150 saddles i have seen. I haven’t tried those fancy saddles but my Ergon saddle is super comfy on short and longer rides. I’m 130lbs and bought the s/m. I didn’t measure my sit bone but this was a good fit for me.

After primarily using my Club Ride chamois and then realizing I had this pair I wore these for a 2hr road ride and they sucked. I was saddle sore and just was wanting to get home and rip these off. My Club Ride Montcham are like sitting on a comfy couch. You forget your even wearing a padded diaper. Wasn’t impressed at all with the pearl Izumi shorts. Fit feels off. Butt bone hates them. I tossed em. Waste of my money.

I was skeptical of the added layer to my already over heated body. But my brother SWARES by mesh layers for collecting sweat. I wore this today and I gotta say-holy cow this top works. I sweat like crazy but this absorbed all the normal sweat that would have been cascading down my body. I don’t know if I felt any cooler but it was stink free and did it’s job by the end of my ride!! I got the size small and I’m 5ft4/130lbs. I don’t normally like tight material but this wasn’t even noticeable. Loved it.
Call me gross but I rode two days in a row and wore this a second time before I washed it and I didn’t feel gross! I slipped it on and off I went for sweating day 2. Still didn’t stink after I wore it.

Initial review

Just got these shorts and have only worn them once but I like em! I’m 5ft 4, 130lbs and ordered S based on reviews. The fit it perfect. When seated they are several inches above my knee and roughly fall to slightly at or mid knee when standing. I love the dovetail side hem-makes me feel ok wearing them to the bar after riding without feeling like I’m wearing bike shorts. Feminine cut/slim flitting-small fit perfectly. At least on me. I like the snap and no zipper fly! I wore my chamois with out looking like diaper butt so I would say these are great. I would like an additional pocket or deeper pocket but I rode with a small backpack or hip pack so I guess extra pockets are necessary. I took away a star because having only worn them once I noticed at some point there was a snag/small hole in the butt seam. I’m going to exchange for a non damaged pair because I really like the shorts.
Of course backcountry has stellar service and my gear head took care of my order and I’m getting sent a new pair of shorts. THIS is why I love backcountry over other retailers-they have the best service!!! Not cause I could exchange them but because they are so knowledgeable and super helpful. Updated to 5 stars cause these shorts are great.
Work my shorts about 6 times now, so still new but they have taken a beating and held up nicely. Long stinky and dirty rides and I can almost dust off the grime and go a few rides between a good wash.

Who buys super expensive lenses for the possibility of them getting totally wrecked if you bail. These glasses are inexpensive, feel durable and fit comfortably. I have bad vision and only wear clear glasses or goggles when mountain biking. i tried several brands and pairs of glasses and these were my final choice. i didnt want to spend a ton of money and wanted them to be clear and not fog. these fit the bill. i dont wear these on the climb up, so not sure about heavy sweating and fog. but on the long decent they proved most valuable. stopping dirt and freaking flies but hitting my eyes. they were super comfortable. i dont really like the black nose guard, its a little distracting which eventually i dont notice it. but its sort of annoying for the first mile or so of decent....
i wore mine in a misty rain the other weekend and i found myself having to stop rather frequently to stop fogging and rain drop build up...they didnt streak off very well and i ended up taking them off which then got dirt splashed in my eyes....but all in all, for the price they are great!!

Barely Noticeable

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After flinging off my saddle like a sack of crap i didnt really hit the ground as much as slid across what felt like a cheese grader. it wasnt even a bad fall, just some missing skin on my arms and knees/thighs. i didnt want to have to wear bulky knee pads and i got these. i wear them on all my rides regardless of what kind of riding i am doing. they are super comfortable. not restrictive. they offer enough protection to make me feel confident and comfortable. although i would love them to be a little longer and cover more of the shin.....when the pedal attacks i am basically open skin.
i am 130- 135lbs, 5ft4 and i bought the mens xs/s and they fit perfectly. they fit about a few inches above and below my knee.
**recent crash can attest to the fact that my knees were nicely protected. my upper thigh and shins can share another story but the knees were all but bruised. again, would love a longer pad in this style to cover more of the shin.

this jersey works just fine for me. i like the arm length, gives room for elbow guards and has good length down my back. i have past seaons color which is pretty splashy, but i am easy to spot. the little stash pocket has held gummies before but i wouldnt place any valuables back there. sweat wicks nicely. feminine shape, not boxy. i feel this runs a wee small, i have always been small and found the M to be the same fit as a small. some wiggle room but not snug and not loosy goosy.
