Road raced through my early twenties as a Cat 1. Now just ride for fun -- weekend warrior rides and weekday commuting to work. Try to fix things myself, but am not really good at it...! If I say there is a part that was easy to fix, then it must be true!
Nice overview on GT's goal with the Grade
The Grade in action
This thing is cool. I put some Park Tool patches in the metal container, as well as a few bucks in case I need to get some honey buns on a ride. Functional and stylish.
Gotta be truthful here, this thing is not very useful. It's too big for a back pocket. The wallet has these odd stretch pouches that are supposed to hold items like tools and money, but they're waaaay to small. This was a really bad design.
I use this on my cross bike that I use for gravel riding. It works just fine. Fits a 700x35 tube, my tire levers, and a multi-tool no problem. I've been using this for the past four months with no issues. Secures nicely on my saddle & seat post with little movement.
Looking at the other reviews, it looks like some people are having issues with the Velcro. I haven't had the issue with mine.
Got this to replace the current chain on my Scalpel w/XO. Works great. Super smooth shifting and reasonably affordable for this level of performance chain. Will be my replacement chain moving forward.
