Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a comfortable helmet and I like the idea that it has an additional safety rating. I find that the ventilation is not enough for me on hard XC rides. I think the honeycomb padding restricts most airflow. Especially on long climbs, I am absolutely pouring sweat under this lid. Another annoying thing is that I pull out the pads every 5ish rides and handwash with cool water. After about four months of doing this, the mating velcro surface separated from the foam padding. I had to cobble it together the night before a race with hot glue. Compared to my Giro road helmet that has been going strong for 11 years now, I'm not super impressed with this product. I also don't agree with the description that this helmet does anything for sunglasses fog prevention, my Oakley EVZero Pitch glasses fog up under this dome piece just as often as any other helmet.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These things are so new and there's not much info out there so I thought I would share my initial impressions. I have a Cinch system with Next SL cranks on my XC bike so this was a direct replacement for my spindle. The package includes everything that you need to remove the old spindle and replace the new except for 2 and 8mm allen keys and large crescent wrench. Ideally, you need a torque wrench that can go to 50nM. I tested it in front of my house and everything worked as expected. I can't wait to try it on my first ride and will try to post a follow-up.

Install items to note:
1. You need grease.
2. You need aerosol lube to blast everything before you try to take the existing cranks off.
3. Do not underestimate how hard it it to loosen the old cranks, 50nM is a lot.
4. If you don't have the tools or expertise, just do yourself a favor and take it to a shop.

These could be perfect for someone, but I would just switch between flats and clips if you're so inclined. In addition to feeling sorta clunky, they aren't good flats nor are they good clips. As flats, the surface area is too small and they are slippery. As clips, they feel huge and awkward to me.

I once had a Pearl Izumi jacket, it was black with lightning bolts all over it. It was so sick that it was stolen from me on two separate occasions. Then one night at a rave in Amsterdam I ripped off the sleeves to make it a "vest" ...and ended up giving it to some bum on the street on my way home. The Vagabond jacket is almost as cool and since the arms zip off, I don't have to bust the seams when I'm feeling the need to go sleeveless!
