Familiarity: I've used it several times

I test rode this bike for a period of three days. The bike really shines when you point it uphill but it also crushed in some crit like simulations. The di2 and all black bike was top of the line in my book. While I am a laggard when it comes to disc brakes on road bikes, I was surprised at how much I liked them. This is the trend for road bikes these days so I am on board now, especially after test riding them on the R5. Overall, this is a fast bike meant for a rider who appreciates a rocket ship of a bike.

I love these trigger point balls. I use them for muscle releases of hard to reach knots in my quads/hip flexors and glute med. As a endurance athlete overuse injuries are just around the corner unless I take care of my body. That starts with proper biomechanics and foam rolling in addition to trigger point release keep me going without screwing up my stride. Just to be transparent, my dog ate part of the ball and now I need another!

I threw these pedals on my urban bike I commute on and ride to the bar. They are great so far and the color choices spice up my life. They also don't have metal pins but are still grippy so my feet don't slip and I don't bang up my shins.

Everyone knows white = speed when it comes to road cycling shoes. The Gaerne Carbon G Chrono shoe is no different.

While aesthetics are a small (okay big) part of road cycling, for me, if it doesn't perform, I don't want it. On a scale of 1-12, Gaerne ranks these shoes a 12 in terms of stiffness on the sole. This equates to incredible power transfer while remaining comfortable hour after hour on the bike.

Color and stiffness play a big part in my shoe selection but I think most important is the fit and how dialed I can get the shoe. These bad boys are next level when it comes to dialing in the fit to the contour of my feet. The boa system evenly distributes pressure keeping hot spots away. What you get is a precise fitting shoe that is easily tuned. Ready for the sprint? Crank that boa system down. Feeling like your feet are hot and swelling? Ease up the tension. The micro adjustment of the boa system puts ratchet systems in the past and velcro in the history archives. Combined with the stiff sole, these shoes are a complete success for me.

The Gaerne Carbon G Chrono shoe breathes well and dirt and smudges rub off leaving the pristine white look for miles to come. The fit (toe box included) is true to size and isn't narrow but isn't wide. The boa system ties the shoe together, figuratively and literally.

A 2-hour ride can have 10,000 revolutions of the pedals, it's a no brainer that a top-level road shoe is a ticket to better performance, comfort and efficiency. So what are you waiting for? Give the Gaerne Carbon G Chrono shoe a try! I'm glad I did.
