Best value/price ratio

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Regardless of these shoes being on sale or not, they offer the best value/price ratio out there. Sidi offers more expensive shoes. With those, however, top quality is expected; it shouldn't be a surprise that a shoe is good at $500.
After hearing people swear by Sidi I decided to get myself a pair. I needed something reliable on technical climbs where foot position, comfort, and responsiveness are vital. Sidi dominators are very robust in that aspect.
When I first tried them on, they seemed a little large before being tightened. But after I tied them they fit amazingly right! No movement and extremely comfortable! They also seem like they would offer decent protection.
The sole is carbon and it's great at transferring power. It might be a little slippery on wet terrain or boulders.
I have narrow/regular feet so the dominator fit was great for me. If you have slightly wider feet however, give the dominators mega a look as they can always be adjusted down.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you are a mountain biker that loves technical climbing and demanding descents but not really interested in high speed downhill biking, these pads are for you.
They are amazing. Put them on and you forget you're even wearing them. They made their presence obvious when I slipped off a 4ft boulder..that could not have possibly been good for my knee. They are light too!
I wash them every once in a while on the gentle cold cycle and they hold up fine. Amazing closure system and no slippage!

At 280g, it is not the lightest for those who care about grams. I apparently have wider sitbones and this saddle offers amazing supoort while not being very wide itself. Still mobile on descents!
No saddle compares to the comfort and support offered by this one. It is supportive in climbs and the padding is right where it should be. 4-5 hr rides felt good.
Careful because Selle SMP is not Selle Italia.
