Feldywrote a question about Niner JET 9 RDO Carbon Mountain Bike Frame - 2014 on August 21, 2014
Has anyone put a 130mm or 140mm fork on a Jet9?
Started racing bikes after college. Love where these two wheels have taken me.
Has anyone put a 130mm or 140mm fork on a Jet9?
I'm thinking about switching my Jet9 RDO to a trail'ish bike. I'd like to put a 120mm fork on it. Any reviews I should know about?
I just can't stand that the sidewalls fray. If I pay $70 for a tire I sure don't want to cut stings off the sidewalls after a few weeks. Looks tacky

If you're spending this much on a tube don't you think you should just buy a set of tubulars?
I've used this at home and on the road. It is easy to use and works great.

This makes for the cleanest tubeless jobs around. I use it all the time and love that I don'd have any mess to cleanup.

What more should I say. It works and isn't hard to do yourself.

These are great. It was always such a pain when the valve leaked on the older style. Now you can tighten the top down like a standard valve. Thank you Enve

This will work for a road tire but when you need something for cross/mtb I wouldn't recommend tape. The higher volume of a road tire will help old the tire in place whereas in the dirt you tend to want to run low pressure which is harder on the mastic.
Use what the Pro's use. The Vittoria Mastic is the only glue to use for cross. It's fairly easy to use and is very hard to roll a tire if glued correctly. Two applications on the rim then two on the tire.

I actually like this. Once you have a Hammer shot bottle this system is a snap. Less mess, and trash. The only downside is you don't really get to change up the flavors during your ride.

Light, carbon, pop-lock, thru axle. Yep, this is the best race fork on the market. As with any fork keep a close eye on service.

For trail riding this fork is a great product. As a 100mm race fork the CTD is pointless. When I'm racing I don't want to take my hands off the bar to change the fork mode. I will say that fox upgraded my damper for free to a terralogic and it is much better for a racer. Fox does a few other things a little funny when it comes to 100mm "race" forks. They don't tune the forks to firm as I'd expect. Rather they tune it to "M". I think the CTD would be best for forks from 120mm and above.
You can't find a better grip around. Great feel, density, and width. Also very light and cheap.

Listen, if you want a stem, seat post, or bar, Thompson is the gold standard. They don't make anything that works ok. They make amazing pieces that work perfectly.
