Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
My 1st try of a semi-minimalist shoe. Used it for a couple of weekend trail runs & an obstacle race on beach sand. True to size, felt firm & fitting (I have low-volume feet) at the first try - likely due to lower stack height of the shoe. Outsole has multi-directional lugs - they are shallow & rather stiff which I suppose would see through much abuse on terrain. Outsoles are grippy, even on flat, semi-wet surfaces. I love the responsiveness of the Kinvara & despite the mention of firmness & stiffness above, I find the shoe flexible at speed after breaking them in. Very light & easy to dry too. Definitely a fan.
