Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I got this saddle to replace the Specialized Power Comp that I never quite fell in love with. I found the curvature of the saddle kept me in an uncomfortable position, or cause me to slide, and at about the 3 hour mark would become unbearable. I wanted something flatter. I was on the fence between getting this saddle and the Fabric Scoop Flat. I ended up choosing this one due to the relief area, and a flatter profile compared to what Fabric had to offer. So far I am glad I did.
My bike is setup with about a 3.5" drop from saddle to bars, and I have the saddle mounted with a slight downward angle. Having just got it last night, this review is based on my initial impression from this morning's ride. The most important thing that I noticed was nothing.
When I say I noticed nothing, I mean exactly that: nothing drew my attention to the saddle. No discomfort, no sliding, no feeling locked in a position, no *cough* numbness *cough*, nothing. It turns out that nothing was everything that I was looking for in a saddle.
Today's ride was only 23 miles, but this first impression should be predictive of how I will feel about it in the long run. My previous saddle I had for 2000 miles, but I knew within the first 25 that I just didn't like it. This will be a long season for me, and if my opinion of this saddle changes, I will update this post.
