Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this one because I wanted to get something more professional (yet I'm just starting practicing Yoga), something more durable and something more gentle on my knees and hands. I looked around and this one seemed to thick all the marks!
Indeed, it looks very well built and seems that it's going to hold strong for a long time. It has the right amount of cushioning and because it has a closed-cell surface, water & sweat are not going to filter in, which helps a lot for keeping smelly odors away.
When I'm practicing Yoga, I tend to sweat like a pig and my previous mat wasn't grippy enough, so I read that this mat was very good at handling sweat. My experience with this mat regarding its slip-resistant feature has not been a good one, -yet. I know that this mat needs a break-in period which I am yet to apply upon it. In the meantime, I sometimes use the Manduka eQua Mat towel to wick away the excess of sweat, pretty nice.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these mainly for some light hiking down here in Costa Rica. So far so good. Great fit, great grip on any terrain, even on wet rocks. They give me more sense of security when walking down the sketchiest paths. I fully recommend to buy these shoes. I like the feature for tucking in the excess of the laces in the small pouch.
