Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these to be a crag shoe that I can slip on and off really easy between routes, an upgrade from flip flops which can be sketchy when belay spots are less than ideal. These are so freaking comfortable. They work great as a short approach shoe, but I wouldn't want to hike with a pack on for more than a few miles at most. They're so comfortable they are now my daily casual shoe. Did I mention they're comfortable? I wear size 40 (7.5) La sportiva climbing shoes, and usually an 8.5 street shoe. The mesh on top is pretty forgiving, so the 8.5 felt a little loose, especially when wearing without socks. I exchanged for an 8, and they are perfect, sock or no socks. Tread wear has been minimal despite many crag days, short hikes, and daily wear around the office. Highly recommend!

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Not sure if it is the fault of raceface's BB design, or this tool, but man this thing is a pain to use. As soon as you apply torque the tool starts slipping off the bottom bracket. Very hard to use with your bike in a stand or upside down. Best way is to lie bike on its side so you can get downward force so the tool doesn't slip off. Gets the job done, but very poor design.
