Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great pedals. Unfortunately they will start clicking after about a year and need to be taken apart and serviced. It's been a fairly well documented problem with the 9100 pedals; feel free to look it up. Dunno if they just lube them improperly or what, but there are tons of videos on the web documenting the problem and how to service them. I've gone back to using older ultegra pedals which have yet to produce a clicking sound, time will tell.

Otherwise solid pedals. Very light. Just wish the bearings where more reliable. Had over 7000 miles on them when it started clicking, so it's not like they have this problem out of the box, but it seems like a fairly common problem that will eventually manifest. Luckily they are not that difficult to service.

Used once (more like punctured a C02 cartridge which got wasted because it broke and had to use my mini-pump). Now it will not puncture the C02 cartridge. I guess the pin inside which is supposed to puncture the cartridge broke on first use. Now it's a neat looking paper weight. Difficult to recommend this since it didn't last long enough for me to actually review.

Works great... until the battery dies.

At which point you have to open it. Now wahoo could've included a $0.10 tool and saved me the trouble of destroying mine trying to open it but no. So mine is now garbage BUT it has a new battery! Woohoo! Seal is completely toast and plastic won't even snap close. Done with this company and their cheap crap.

Not sure why every review says how amazing these are. Sure 4x longer than a regular Camelbak which ends up being an hour. I go out with ice and slushy mix and my reg CB is done in 15 mins and getting warm and the podium ice stands up for maybe 45 mins to an hour in 90+ degree heat with the sun blazing down on you. If keeping your backup water bottle cool for a little while longer is a priority sure spend the extra $10.

Feels weird leaving a review for a Rapha product on CC but seems they are trying new things with other retailers; which may or may not explain the $5 markup vs buying this direct from Rapha (I was tempted to knock a star for this but has nothing to do with the product), I do not know. I also do not know if these are current season colors or what, or just straight color variants from what is sold on direct from Rapha. I liked the Blue so I got it from CC.

Anyway, this is my new favorite base, I'm not buying anything else. Rapha premium pricing be damned these are just beautiful. Perfect length and fit for me, and I've been trying different brands of base layers, all of which just got retired. Everyone else has an incredibly short torso or other base layers are just short, dunno, these fit like a glove.

I haven't really gotten to use these yet as I bought them at the start of spring intending to use them next winter, however looking at the build and quality of them I could've done worse for what I paid. I wasn't impressed with my other Giro gloves - I was impressed with these.

Size of all Giro gloves is small to me (thumbs are kind of short IMO), I've just started buying XXL in all cycling gloves, but according to the chart I am XL. YMMV.

Does what a sleeveless baselayer should - soaks up sweat. The grey is a nice neutral color that goes with everything. It's a bit short for me but as it is, doesn't really affect it's performance, i just wish it were 1-2" longer (I even tried an XL and it wasn't noticeably longer just baggier).

A note on my experiences with Castelli sizing: yes, normally I size up. Jerseys I am XL, socks XXL, I still have no idea on bibs as I haven't even attempted it, warmers have also been a problem (I'm thinking the sizing is similar to the baselayers?). Their baselayers appear to be 'true-to-size' but YMMV. I ended up keeping the Large over the XL, largely based on others comments I ordered both because I wasn't sure. Hopefully this saves someone the trouble.

Bought a few of the red and blue cages just to see if they matched my bikes at all. Well, you get what you pay for. The 'red' is impressively on the pink side of the color wheel. I absolutely would not call it red. The blue is also not close to the photo (shocking, I know). I guess it's more of a light blue, but not too bad. The 'pink' cages are useless to me but also not worth returning. As for do they work? Probably, if you can get past the colors.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Finger seams falling apart after less than 2-3 weeks average use.

Very weary of buying any short finger gloves at this point. Made in Vietnam used to mean something but apparently not anymore. You'd think by now someone would engineer a pair of gloves that doesn't fall apart after less than 1000 miles but oh well (pretty sure my dad has some old leather crochet gloves that are like 50+ years old and other than dirt look new; maybe they should just copy those... ffs).

EDIT: despite stitching coming undone on the left ring finger, stitch hasn't completely split so still using... 3 stars for their tenacity.

Looks nothing like photo, still nice.

Like most Castelli socks these are nice looking and comfy. Very lightweight, lightest cycling sock I've got so far. Good height on calf. They are pretty stylish, however, I'd like to point out the stock photos look ABSOLUTELY nothing like the colors on the actual product. That being said I'm still keeping them to satiate my sock fetish. Those are the Forest Green on the top and Dark Infinity Blue on the bottom. Sizing is pretty accurate but if you are a 10.5 I would still probably get XXL.
