Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
***Update*** Used this product sparingly for about 3 weeks, On my Sunday ride I hit a very shallow pothole going into a corner and heard what I thought was my bottle being ejected but it was actually this bag. I am working on Silca to arrange a replacement. Per Silca the first batch had issues with the BOA wires being tied correctly; this is pretty disheartening because I actually ordered this directly from the MFG and they're still sending out known bad products in hopes that people wont warranty them.
I almost gave up on Silca. I ordered and returned both the Seat Roll Premio and The seat roll Grande Americano because they simply couldn't not hold a modest amount of kit without flipping or looking ungainly.
I tried this unit out because it has BOA and I have yet to find a seat bag I like that affixed to the saddle rails without wearing out or potentially damaging my bibs (velcro has a tendancy to wear out if swapped between bikes a lot) previously used an eolo wallet. The wallet was fine but with an extra tube and c02 (something I started carrying since I've been doing more long solo rides) it weighed my jersey down too much, you'd think a seat roll would offer more carrying power than a wallet but it was actually worse.
Here is whats in my bag
1-48mm Road tube
1-80mm Stem Road tube (There is always someone in the group who forgets they're riding aero wheels)
1-Lezyne Co2 chuck
1-Topeak 60mm valve extender (best emergency valve extender works with every type of schrader valve)
1-Cut up tire boot (old tire bit)
1-Silca Italian Army Knife
That seems like a lot but really its only 1 more c02 and tube than what would be considered a minimum kit so I was disappointed that the largest Seat roll silca makes was unable to carry this modest amount.
The capsule looks aesthetically better than It does in photos. It's quite long and pointed it gives my Fizik antares an Arione look with added rear length but its actually not too bulbous. Most importantly it holds everything with a slight bit too spare it would be tight but I'm convinced I could jam another c02 in there or a rema patch kit if needed. It sits off the back of the saddle and doesn't interfere with pedaling even when I'm way back on the saddle. Will update with photos and a 1000 mile review but so far very good. Only downside is that it is less stylish than an empty seat roll premio and it will be a tad bit harder to wash since I don't think you can throw it in the washing machine.
