Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
If you need a little more volume in the toebox than most bike shoes provide the MX237 is hard to beat for an all around MTB shoe. Light and durable. Iâve had mine for 3 years and theyâve been put through the wringer. Lots of rocks strikes and hike a bike scuffs. They scuff easy but who cares, itâs leather and just cosmetic. After a few rides they break in and only get better with use. Pop in some Specialized Body Geometry footbeds and you will be comfy for those 12+hr endurance races. Iâm replacing mine because I want to size up to give my toes a little extra room since my feet swell after all day riding. I tried the MX237 Endurance since they offer some more protection but the shoe rises up higher around my ankle bone and rubs.
