Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I usually don't find jerseys that interesting. I just get one that looks nice, put a good base layer under it, and ride. I do tend to stick with Castelli, though, due to the way their apparel has saved my skin in a couple crashes.
I picked up a Gabba 2 last November and it's been the single most versatile piece of cycling kit I've ever owned. I've worn it (with a wool base layer) in sub-zero temperatures fat biking and in 60 degree rain showers (with a mesh base layer) and everything in between. The Gabba just seems to disappear during the ride and when I get home, I've never regretted the choice to wear it instead of another piece of cycling kit.
Of course Castelli sizing applies. It does run a little tighter than my Free Aero jerseys of the same size from Castelli, but I like that a lot. I consider it my best-fitting jersey.
