Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought a set of the new Power Endurance model with high hopes. On the plus side, they are indeed a fast rolling tire. They also stick to wet roads just like the Conti GP 4000 SII. Unfortunately, that is where the similarities end. On my 2nd road, I got a flat from a tiny metal splinter. 2 rides later, a piece of glass caused another flat. These tires are so sticky they just pick up and hold onto every little tiny piece of glass on the road. I guess I'll be going back to Continental for my next set of tires, as I'm really tired of patching tubes and buying C02 cartridges.

I save this stuff for my long rides and race day. Last Sunday, 1 flask was all I needed to complete a 60 mile race that featured 6,000 ft of climbing. I took 1 gulp of this every 45 minutes and I did not have any issues with cramping or hunger. I usually start bonking around the 45 mile mark in races. :-( Hopefully, none of my local competitors will read this review as I consider Liquid Shot my secret weapon!

I have to admit that I was a little worried about buying this cassette because of some reviews I've read about the carbon carrier breaking. So after a month on this cassette (about 1,000 miles), I am happy to report that it is holding up just fine. We do have a bunch of Cat 3 and 4 climbs here and I'm a pretty strong sprinter, so not having to worry about my cassette shifting properly or breaking in the middle of a race is extremely important. Yes, I would definitely buy another one again next season.
