Familiarity: I've used it several times
Twin Six killed it with this one. The fuzzy thermal is perfect in cool/cold weather. I wear this with a wool long sleeve base layer and I'm good to the mid-30s. Throw on something to stop the wind and you're good down to 20. If you get cold, just pedal a little harder.
I bought 2 sets of these wheels: Team for racing, and Comp for training and playing on singletrack and gravel. They replaced the stock Alex Black Dragon wheels on my cross bike. These Stans are a full 2 lbs lighter than the stock wheels which makes an unbelievable difference even with large cross tires (I have one set with Clement PDX for CX racing running tubeless and 41c Surly Knards with tubes for fun on singletrack and gravel).
I couldn't be happier. I was able to buy two sets of these very good wheels for the price of one excellent set of custom wheels. For me, the ability to have 2 sets of wheels running tubeless with vastly different tires is a better solution considering that the weakest link in the chain is the motor.
If I were to buy one set it would be the Team version which is a great combination of strong and light.
When you need to compress a guzillion cubic feet of air into your fat bike tire just to get to 10 psi and it's freezing or hot or buggy or anything you want this high volume portable pump with you. I have the version with the gauge but it's worthless for low pressure fat bike tires - I think the first mark on the gauge is 20psi. Buy it and be happy and bail out every stranger with a flat so they can be happy too.
