Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First let me say I seldom write reviews, however I would like to share what works for me in central Arizona. For temps down to about 28. I have been able to use the Castelli Gabba 3 jersey with Nano Flex arm warmers. 1-2 layers underneath, depending on how cold you expect. I have base layers of wool and the stuff from Craft, long and short sleeve. Windblock is good depending on conditions. I also use Knickers or tights, wool socks and shoe covers.I have found that knickers/tights without chamois works well, just wear your bibs for the chamois. I recommend Assos T-Equipe s7 bibs. I have a pair of Giro Blaze gloves. A neck Thingy is nice. For the head, a Beanie that covers the ears and I also use one of those cycling caps with a bill. For below 25 you need heavier gloves, those Craft Merino liners work great inside gloves. Below 25 add a windblock jacket and maybe a Baklava. These are good for a 50-60 miler, use what you need depending on what temp you expect. Castelli runs small. Assos usually true to size.

Absolutely the best piece of cool weather gear you will ever own, if you ride in temperatures from 60 down to 25 degrees. Great high collar, wind-proof body, good zippers and pockets. Just layer as it gets colder, unzip if you get too warm. As with most Castelli buy a size larger. Get 2 for yourself and some for your riding friends. Especially on sale, I love this product.
