They are wind resistant, allow unhindered shifts and braking, at least with SRAM gear. I like the long cuff and they seal well about the wrist over the sleeves of my riding jacket. I used them on a 36 degree ride and was comfortable. I would buy another pair.
My Bianchi Zurigo came equipped with the SRAM Apex group set. After the second tire change I upgraded to a 1071 chain and Force derailleurs and Rival carbon shifters and a Mavic Kysrium wheel set. A very noticeable performance change. An extremely quiet drive train when not mudded up and very positive shifting particularly standing into a hill and upshifting under load. SRAM went to 11 speeds so there are some good deals on 10 speed gear out there. Thanks Comp. Cyclist!
