Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The pedals are good and offer a significantly stronger cleat retention mechanism than Shimano pedals with a comfortable platform. However, with this mechanism, I found that finding the appropriate cleat position (one that would not hurt my leg, as my legs supinate) was impossible to do. The pedals also came with the wrong number of cleats which required me to contact the distributor and get a new set of cleats sent out. I also found that the finish on the rear portion of the cleat retention mechanism began to chip after a couple of days of use and the tension spring rusted on the surface after one damp ride (the latter issue was alleviated with a cleaning and lubing). These two issues make me question the long term durability of the pedals.

It is worth noting that the pedals come with a 8mm thin-walled socket that is necessary for service.

SRAM got it right with this chain and the oil-slick colored quicklink makes it easy to locate fro removal or as a starting point for applying chain lube.

On a related note, some people say that EAGLE is hard to set up and finicky, but if you pay attention to appropriate chain length (and B tension) it works out just fine

I have to say that I am impressed with this helmet in many ways. I find the fit to be extremely comfortable and cranking the retention band tight never creates hot spots on my head. Speaking of the retention band, BOA also offers lifetime warranty so that is just another aspect of this helmet that is a plus. I chose the helmet because Kali has a lifetime crash replacement warranty and I wanted to stay away from MIPS helmets as they have been shown to be ineffective. Additionally, the light/go-pro mount works effectively.

I did have an issue with sizing at first and had to move up a size despite having a 59cm head size, which should be a s/m. That said, I did not detract stars for that as the right size helmet fits perfectly.

Lastly, ventilation on the helmet seems to be just as good as a road bike helmet like a Specialized Prevail or Prevail 2, which is impressive.

If you are considering a new helmet, I would highly recommend this one.

Tire worked well, fairly grippy when leaned over and fast rolling. I found there are other tires that transition better and have since moved away from these tires. I've had 5 or so vittoria tires in multiple casings and have to comment them on tire quality. The tire did wear quickly ( I also found this to be the case with the Vittoria Barzo)

I've used these pedals for over a year now on multiple bikes and have zero complaints. I've been lazy about servicing and will probably ride these pedals until they die and then buy another pair. They work well and look nice. The interface has worked well with multiple XC style MTB shoes, including Specialized XC Pro and S-works 6 shoes. My pedals have some scratches in the metal from rock strikes, but the marks only seem to have caused cosmetic damage

Excellent stem, stiffened up the front of my bike when my other stem flexed when out of the saddle. The t30 stem bolt is a minor annoyance, but the stem is worth it in the end. Stealth colorway matches my all black bike well.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I tried this tire front and rear on a demo-bike and enjoyed them. I decided to buy a one to put on the front of my XC/trail bike with the hope that the tire would help cope with the sandy trails that have slowly degraded into dust over the past for months. I immediately noticed more grip with no noticeable difference in rolling resistance (had I put one on the rear of my bike, I think I would notice a significant difference compared to a fast rolling XC tire). This past weekend I went for a 4 hour ride in the rain and found the tire to be phenomenal in the wet, as it is designed to be. Tire seated up on the wheel with a floor pump and had not issue with staying sealed. I think it is worth noting that the tire is listed to work under different conditions on MAxxis's website than on their packaging (this tire works in pretty much all conditons including brown ice [pine needles over hard pack])
Running the tire at 24psi on a 24mm internal rim, I weight 180lbs.

Additional Comments: These tires have excellent braking traction and are fairly light-weight. The casing is also fairly supple
