Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This tire is almost a pound heavier than the non-DD casing. It's so sturdy that I'm running pressures down around 20 PSI. I absolutely love the tire but I wouldn't get the DD casing unless you are racing an event or you are regularly ripping the non-DD casing. With that being said, the traction is unreal. There's a reason that this tire is the GOAT. My one disappointment is that it doesn't really measure a full 2.5" wide when inflated.

Failed on First Crash

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was pretty happy with the elbow guards until I had my first crash. When I crashed the guard completely ripped open at a seam and pealed off my arm leaving my skin to be scraped off. I contacted Six Six One multiple times about the failure but never heard back. Ultimately I have to rate these as complete garbage and I would never buy anything from Six Six One again.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These gloves are relatively thin and fit true to size. Because of the thinness I was worried about how warm they would be but they actually performed better then expected. I've gone on three mountain bike rides with them where the temperature was anywhere from 38-45 degrees and they kept my hands harm for the entire ride. Now I wasn't going very fast so results on a road bike may be different. An unexpected bonus is that the smartphone touch integration is the best that I've ever found on a glove. It works perfectly even with the iPhone 7 digital home button.

I had a tough time finding elbow pads that you could wear on a long ride if you needed to but were heavy duty enough for the bike park without being a full sleeve. I'm really happy with the construction and design although I haven't crash tested them enough yet. My only complaint is that their sizing seems to be off for bike riders. I'm 6' 180lbs and I have typical MTB arms. Their sizing guide said I was on the lower end of the medium spectrum but buying a small seemed insane. They do fit pretty loose but to their credit, I didn't really have any issues with them slipping down my arms during a day in the park.
