Totally impressed, couldn't be happier

Familiarity: I've used it several times

My first aero wheelset I have ever owned and shopped around for a long time to find the right one; I like descending in my local mountains and having quality braking is a must, but i also wanted something very aero for my local group rides. Wow. First two rides to the top of the mountain it was raining pretty hard, and the braking and wheelset held up just as advertised, and put a huge grin on my face knowing I got the perfect wheelset. Additionally, the aero feeling of these wheels, even in heavy wind, were totally stable and i feel any weekend warrior would have no problem spinning these around. I purchased the 60mm over the 40mm due to added aero and lack of a penalty in weight (100 grams or something nominal). After riding these i have begun to recommend them to all my friends. Get all the aero benefits of carbon, yet brake close to the level of disc, without the weight penalty. Thank you HED and thanks Backcountry for the great customer product and supporter. Very happy customer.

Would recommend this for winter riding, gravel riding, commuting, or just plain old road riding. I have a carbon road bike and it is definitely much faster feeling due to the lightness of that bike versus this one, but this feels robust, the brakes bite hard, and it is incredibly smooth. The 52/36 with 32 cassette is a real winner in terms of spinning on the flats & descents with pretty good climbing ability. I do think a compact would be a better choice, but so far happy with the mid-compact.
Sizing: I am 5'9", 31.5 inch inseem. Size 53 fits perfect. I have an aluminum GT grade size 55, my opinion is that they run quite large. For the 53 very minimal toe overlap but if try for it, it is there. (Size 45 shoe).
Saddle: So far so good, can update here later should I decide to change it out.
Shipping: Came extremely quick (2 days from time of shipment, 5 days total from order date).
Building: Built the bike super easily; Required minor adjustments to the derailleurs and brakes; Something a local bike shop could do in 15 minutes if you aren't skilled enough; Don't pay over $40 bucks for this, but overall didn't need much adjustment out of the box once put together.
Niggles/Naggles: If had to complain, do not care for the handlebar, though planning to swap out. The real complaint is on the bar tape, but that is a $20 fix and 5 minutes time.

Excellent gloves for 45-65 degree weather while riding. Very comfortable, snug fitting, and do their best job at keeping the wind out. When riding above ~20 mph there is some air that flows in. Hands are going to be a little cold but that also allows great breath-ability when temps rise during the day so is a trade off. Not a deep winter glove in most the US, but plays well in Cali and I imagine would be an ideal spring/fall glove for most everywhere else. Also, finders work just fine on iPhone 6 as an FYI.
