Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These tires have served me well on very rough riding patterns while delivering Jimmy Johns in downtown SLC for the past year. They've held up while popping up and down curbs and even short sets of stairs, riding through grass, gravel, and lots of road debris. Additionally, the tire's textured surface gives noticeably improved grip over a standard set of smooth tires. If you're looking for a tire that will last through more wear and tear than the usual road ride, this should be your first choice!

These keep my hands 100% warm and dry. They're durable while still having a lot of dexterity. Also, the material used on the fingers is touch screen compatible, and actually works pretty well. The only complaint I have is the glove is one complete piece, with no inner-liner as described. However, the warmth isn't excessive so this isn't significant. Stuff like this is why Giro is one of my go-to companies, they always get it right.

Durable, comfy on and off the saddle, smart pocket placement and space. No complaints here, except for the blue color I bought (this applies to bike clothes in general though). It looks nice and crisp out of the package, but once you get grease and other stains on them, it's quite difficult to remove.

You'll want to have a fender on your bike if you're riding in the wet, wether or not you're wearing these, which confuses me a bit either the older reviews below. However, regardless of fenders, these pants will go a long ways toward keeping you %100 warm and dry, unless you're practically going for a swim. I've been using these for everything from delivering Jimmy John's downtown in the sleet, rain and snow, to hiking up a very snowy Olympus and sliding on the pants for quite a ways back down. They've even been used as sub-layer for powder laps at Alta, and all without a tear to the fabric. I wouldn't be surprised if these pants endure 5-7 years of abuse, and I'm excited to keep using them to stay warm on all my adventures.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was hoping for a better product from LG, but my expectations failed me after less than a week of use. This is a very minimal protection against the cold, and still allows moisture in through the thumb, because the thumb piece is covered in a fleece material, rather than the waterproofing on the rest of the it. I can't say anything about the durability of the gloves, but at least thus far they have held up against the abuse I've put them through. As one of my team's sponsors, I genuinely hoped for a better results from LG, but unfortunately I will be returning to the Backcountry outlet soon to purchase a pair of Giro Proof's instead.

Previous rating: 5 stars.
I put on a total of about 250-300 miles on the mountain and road bike per week, and these haven't even flinched! The "boa" tightening system is awesome, and all the straps feel secure and durable. The tread is great for all kinds of terrain, and even the occasional hike-a-bike! Pebbles tend to get occasionally get caught in between the rubber knobs on bottom, but they're no biggie and fairly simple to pick out. Fizik has definitely won me over with this one!

UPDATE: after a year apiece on two different pairs of these, both busted out the inner-side tread on the shoe. Besides the fact that this should NEVER happen, it gave me almost no choice but to replace the shoes, as it was near impossible to traverse/climb embankments/trails when off the bike.

This Pads are fantastic! I've taken a couple of solid tumbles in them in the month that I've had them, and they diminished to impact to mere bruising, instead of loss of skin. They pedal quite well, and don't tend to slide down or get too hot. I certainly don't care about the funky look, because I'm having too much fun with them on!

Great pump! The foot stand flaps fold up for portability, while still providing a stable base when spread out. The pumping motion is smooth with no odd clicks or whistles, and the handle has are a clear kind of gel that grips well and is comfortable. The gauge is large and easy to read. To be honest, the whole system and build quality have a solid feel to it, and I'm confident I'll be able to enjoy this pump for a decade or two.

These have been a great pair of gloves for me so far this season. I've definitely put them through the several crashes, jumps, and hundreds of miles of xc riding and racing, and they have held up admirably. My only minor issue is that the straps are a bit unnecessary, and seem to be curling up, away from the velcro. All in all, these gloves are a good addition to the gear for any rider.
