Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These arrived yesterday, and I wore them on today’s ride. While these are spendy, they are worth every cent. I was replacing an older pair of Assos bibs, and have tried other brands, because I wanted to see if there was any other company that provides the same fit, compression, comfort that Assos provides. I haven’t found a good alternative yet. They run true to size. This series is a huge leap forward in comparison to the S.7 I had previously. Both fit great, but the compression of this is way better. Are they worth the hype - yes. Just wish I didn’t waste the money on the others before coming back to these.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I received my ELEMNT a couple of weeks ago, and was finally able to get some rides out with it, and it's pretty amazing so far. The use of the LEDs on the unit is straight out genius. I'm a visual individual, and having the lights change color depending on where you are in your HR Zones (or speed, or power) helps me maintain my targets easier that before. The display, as many others have said, is great. I like the larger size, and the zoom capability. The larger screen helps when you are using it to follow preplanned routes downloaded from Strava.

The latest software update has turn by turn, provided you have a RideWithGPS account; however, I've not yet used it.

Prior to this, I had a Garmin 510, and speed/cadence sensors and heart rate monitor. The ELEMNT paired up with those sensors with ease. I even found that if you rotate the Garmin bar mount 90 degrees, the ELEMNT is capable of using it. The only drawback so far is the unit does not seem to distinguish between multiple bicycle profiles as the Garmin does. Not a big deal, because you can track that data via Strava, or another third-party training site.

Only giving 4 stars right now, because I need more time to understand everything its capable of. But for now, this is really doing everything that it has advertised.

2017 UPDATE: Moving this up to 5 stars.
I've used this for over 6 months now, and am completely blown away. Software updates are easy, and quick. I tried the Turn by Turn feature, and was surprised at how accurate it is. The interface with the KICKR Power trainer is great, and it works smoothly. Wahoo is doing everything right with this. Some still see the size as a drawback, but I think its still perfect. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING GARMIN. The usability is incredibly easy and intuitive.
