Great One-Quiver Bike
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

As someone who doesn't do more than 1 or 2 downhill days per year, but needs a bike to do just about everything else, the Blur had great appeal. From the slick rock of Southern Utah & Moab to the alpines of Northern Utah, the Blur can handle most anything you'll throw at it. Rides like a full blown hardtail on the climbs and screams like a banshee on flowy and techy descents. The grip shift remote lockout took a little getting used to and still don't know if I'll keep it long term. I'd love to see this bike with some XT brakes but the XO drivetrain is great. It's not the lightest XC bike but you feel so much more confident over the course of a ride with the stability of this ride. Good value, good components, and an overall fast bike up and down the mountain!
