Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've had 3 LEVs. The first one was the earliest production line and it worked great. So did the second one. The third one, though, has me with murder in my heart. It sticks in the extended position. Sometimes when it unsticks it descends only a third. Sometimes it won't pop all the way up again. Maddening. Worse yet, after just a few months of use, I got saddle creep. Set the saddle mid-post. It creeps back. Set it again. Really torque it down with Park torque tool. It still creeps. My LBSes (2 of em) have thrown up their hands. It's been back to KS for 3 weeks and returned just as unreliable as ever. Too bad because when it works, it's a great post. I'm moving all my bikes to Rockshox Reverbs. Yes I had one of them fail. Rockshox replaced it brand new, no questions asked, in 3 day turnaround. That's how to build customer loyalty and brand rep.
