what is the weight of the whole bike?
what is the weight of the whole bike?
will this wheelset fit a normal 15mmx100 front thru axle? Isnt the RS1 a 20mm hub?
Used this with several shorts. Much better feel and consistency to the product than others I've tried. Definitely stronger in icy feeling than the DZnuts brand, and has prevented chaffing better as well.
High quality jersey! All the details are there from the stretchy and warm material to the grippers, zipper and zipper end covers. The fit is very snug on the body typical of an FRC race fit jersey with plenty of space in the arms for me. Used it in 70 degree F ride and was just enough to keep me comfortable.
Does this jersey in Large fit like the castelli free 4.0 XL jerseys or is it more like the Fox livewire Large?
These Liteskin models came with my new bike. They say 2.25 and they actually are that wide, i measured with calipers. It took several tries to fully seal them since the sidewalls are so thin that you have to get the sealant to the sides everywhere theres a pinhole. From the start i noticed very little rolling resistance and really great cornering...but for my weight 205lbs, at 33psi the sidewalls would give under hard cornering at high speed. In rough terrain like gravel, that psi had the bike skipping and sliding everywhere...but dropping to 23psi helped and was good as long as I didnt go too fast. On my 2nd ride, i rode through some grass and something left a 2mm slit in the center, all the sealant gushed out and the 2mile walk commenced. All in all, it is fast, but the terrain better be hardpacked and clean.
What can I expect with these in comparison to mavics 2012 equipe?
I'm wondering if I should get these ultegras or just get the dura ace for a little more?
Great materials, with arm bands that resemble the bibs leg bands with a silicone grip underneath. I use a large on normal fit jerseys but I ordered an xl to make it fit just off my skin. Has plenty of stretch left if I tug on the fabric. Unfortunately sizing up also increases the total length of the jersey.
It fits more snug than my castelli jerseys short and long. I use xl, however once in the riding position the arms loosen up and it feels great. It's very warm and the wind blocker does its job well. I usually use two long sleeve jerseys in 50deg weather and I'm just right , but all I had under this jacket was a short sleeve summer jersey and I was sweating too much, had to ride with zipper down to not over heat. Looks great off the bike too but I think id have to size up to be comfortable or maybe with time it might stretch a bit.
Most people don't like bellwether because it's not a fancy brand, but I've had these for several years and have had no problems.. I have four sets of these bibs and I can tell you the padding is nice and plush if you ride in a more upright position like that of a mtb. In fact, these are what I use to do 6 hr mtb races. The material is hefty and compressive on the legs and not on your crotch. Haven't had any snags from the branches and brush either. The length of the shorts are longer than castelli. They almost reach my knee. I use them on short road rides only since the padding is in a different place than castelli. These are not see thru like the castelli...however I only have them in black so I can't comment I the other colors. They have a higher than normal waist but I find it helps the core and the straps are stretchy enough that RR breaks are no problem.
Looks: very nice materials and design. Shorter than normal castelli jerseys. Ends at waist, pockets hard to reach. Mesh sides and back seems like better use sunscreen or else.
Fit: 6ft, 205lbs use XL. Shoulders and top fit great, stomach area bunches up a little. Could probably size down but I don't
like compressive tops.
Durability: washed inside out and seems to be fine...however wrinkles from being folded are still a bit visible.
It fits great, true to size for me. The buckle strap is easy to use and chamois pad is generous too. However, I've only used them twice on 15mile rides and the seams on the rear have come apart.
This is my first pair if newtons. I have three forma bibs that I love, and from the first try, I can tell you these are just that extra better than those. The pad is thick and comfy for long rides, Plus it has the antibacterial material in it too. The compression is very good and the waist band and leg bands do their job well. The tiled material seems substantial and durable, yet comfortable. Wish they had these in bibs for sale in a large. :( I'd buy one of each color!
I'm 6ft, 200lbs. I have other size large bellwether jerseys and they fit really nice. Follow body but without compression. This is not like that. This jersey has zero material flapping in the wind. Material breathes well, and has good finish. Stripes on front are screen printed so they might wear with time. It looks great! And for the sale price it's at, hard not to get one! Btw, the white is rather see through...but that's what makes it breath well.
