Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I swear by the Continental Grand Prix 4000's and since they're discontinued and I couldn't find my 28's in old stock, I trusted the journalist reviews on these Zipp tires, which favorably compare them to the Contis. Well, they ride fine, though the cornering traction is not quite as good as the Contis. The biggest issue is that I've had 1 flat on each tire in the last 2 weeks and they have about 500 miles on them. Each flat was from a tiny thorn, not glass or metal or anything else I expected. Both times the thorns were so deep into the tires that I could barely get them out. The texture is so very soft that they wedged in there. This never happened on my Contis. Also, I don't need tire levers to put these NEW tires on! That usually happens after tires have many miles on them. They're just too soft and supple to withstand anything but the most perfect, clean pavement.
Since it's too late to return them, I'll run them a bit longer, but they're starting to cost me too much in replacement tubes.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just bought these for a 2-day MTB skills clinic (drops, berms, pump track and such) and they were PERFECT! When on, they only feel like you're wearing kneewarmers, and they're not too hot. Be careful with sizing, as some of the other reviewers stated - I had to go up 1 size from my usual shorts size. I'm so happy with this purchase that I'm going to get the elbow pads to replace my heavy POC set. Wearing both this weekend showed me how much more comfortable the G-forms are. It's nice to know I can throw these in my bag in case the terrain gets rough, or I get daring and want to try something new ;-)

I absolutely LOVE the look and comfort of this kit. I bought the shorts to match and have received so many compliments.

The only issue I have is the length. I am 5' 6" on a good day, and the small fits perfectly everywhere (not too tight, just right), except it seems to be made for someone 5' 2". It's fine when I'm riding, but I have to be careful I don't show off my stomach when I'm off the bike - it's like I'm wearing a crop top! FYI ladies with a cup size larger than an A, that would make it even shorter.

I had worn out most of my shorts/bibs and really needed a comfortable pair for a 100+ mile Gran Fondo. These did the trick, AND they look fantastic! I bought the matching jersey and have received so many compliments on the whole kit. I ride well over 100 miles per week, so these are a welcome addition. Since that first Fondo, I've worn them on another 90 mile ride and a 77 mile ride. Each was very comfortable. Capo never disappoints.

I have very sensitive skin/naughty bits and always have trouble finding great shorts at a price point under $200 (I ride centuries, so fit/comfort is very important). Just finished a 70-mile training ride in them and they felt great. The quality and fit is top-notch. The pad is just right, too. I'm actually thinking of getting a 2nd pair. I've tried on the Forma Red Carbon in stores and these are far more flattering.

I agree with other reviewers, and they do run small like most Italian products. I'm around 5'6" and 125, and the medium fits perfectly.
