Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this jacket in black with an orange lining in December 2018 and wore it all last Winter into early Spring and recently pulled it out for Fall.
What's good: The fit is flattering, feels comfortable, looks great, pockets accessible, big enough to fit what what I want to carry, zippers for security and I especially love the front pockets - I can get at my stuff without taking off my gloves. I wear it for temps between high 20s and low/mid 40s. Not as breathable as my Castelli but still pretty good for how I use it.
What's not so good: I wash this jacket after every 1 or 2 uses - gentle cycle, line dry. Recently, I noticed a lint-y look on the fabric. I thought a wool base layer had sloughed on the jacket in the wash. But it turns out the lint is actually fibers from the orange lining of the jacket poking through. Unfortunately, the fibers are still connected to the lining so I can't lint brush them off. And the lining appears to be bonded to the outer jacket so I can't just separate the two layers. I can't figure out how to fix this and it looks awful, even embarrassing, especially on the black background. Kind of annoying for such an expensive product.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I already own Pearl Izumi Attack shorts in both medium and large. The large Attack shorts I just ordered are the "Pursuit" Attack shorts, which I hadn't noticed until they arrived. My older shorts are "Select". I can't find Select anywhere and it appears from the Pearl Izumi website that Pursuit Attack may have replaced Select? Anyhow, the large Pursuit fits like the medium Select. The fabric is lighter as compared to Select and the Chamois is thinner. First impression - not a fan of the changes but I'd be willing to give them a try out of shipping return laziness except that they're too small. So they're going back.

I love the style of this jacket and feel of the fabric. I really, really wanted to keep it. But it was just too tight in the shoulder and underarm. The fabric wouldn't even lay flat on my collar bones; it was so taut it actually pulled away from my body, even in a cycling position. The jacket fit perfectly everywhere else and wasn't even tight across my back. It was just the shoulders that were an issue. So I think the problem is with the cut of the raglan-style sleeves. It's a beautiful jacket, otherwise, and I'm bummed it didn't work out. If you have very narrow shoulders and skinny arms you could give it a try.
