Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I bought this jacket in black with an orange lining in December 2018 and wore it all last Winter into early Spring and recently pulled it out for Fall.
What's good: The fit is flattering, feels comfortable, looks great, pockets accessible, big enough to fit what what I want to carry, zippers for security and I especially love the front pockets - I can get at my stuff without taking off my gloves. I wear it for temps between high 20s and low/mid 40s. Not as breathable as my Castelli but still pretty good for how I use it.
What's not so good: I wash this jacket after every 1 or 2 uses - gentle cycle, line dry. Recently, I noticed a lint-y look on the fabric. I thought a wool base layer had sloughed on the jacket in the wash. But it turns out the lint is actually fibers from the orange lining of the jacket poking through. Unfortunately, the fibers are still connected to the lining so I can't lint brush them off. And the lining appears to be bonded to the outer jacket so I can't just separate the two layers. I can't figure out how to fix this and it looks awful, even embarrassing, especially on the black background. Kind of annoying for such an expensive product.
