Description

Omne Air Spin Helmet

Whether you're out for a post-work training ride, or embarking on a weekend gravel adventure, the POC Omne Air Spin Helmet ensures you stay comfortable and protected regardless of where you ride. The EPS foam liner features optimized density with thicker core protection zones that provide all-round protection for everyday use, while ventilation channels and a low weight inspired by the award-winning Octal and Ventral helmets ensure optimal comfort and cooling on longer rides. The helmet boasts a slim profile and a clean aesthetic, and features a 360-degree size adjustment system that makes it easy to find the perfect fit.

The Omne Air Spin employs POC's SPIN rotational impact protection system. This design minimizes the traumatic forces from crashing at an oblique angle by allowing the helmet to rotate independently around your head in the case of an angled crash. Spin pads placed inside the helmet are fixed in place, but exhibit a bit of movement, which gives the helmet a bit of shear in the case of a crash. These pads are made of a silicone-based material on the bottom for extra impact mitigation, lined with traditional foam on top for sweat-wicking comfort.

  • Lightweight cycling helmet for road, commuting, and gravel
  • Optimized-density EPS foam for ideal impact absorption
  • Slim profile for a low weight and a clean aesthetic
  • SPIN technology reduces rotational forces from an angled impact
  • Extensive ventilation keeps you cool during hard riding
  • 360-degree size adjustment system for a comfortable fit
  • Straps are molded into EPS foam for comfort and safety

Great helmet

Just received my helmet in 'zinc orange avip' and really love the color combination, which should provide extra visibility out on the roads. I went for large and it's a great fit, and the straps seem to be a nice fit around the ears. Overall it has a quality feel, so I'm really pleased given the $150 price.

This is a nice looking helmet and nice quality. It is a narrow fitting helmet though so those of you with a more rounded shape head will most likely have to go a size up. I have a 55 cm size head and the fit guide recommended a medium but it was too narrow and couldn’t put the helmet all the way on. Exchanged with a large and would have to cinch the 360 size adjustment all the way to the tightest to get the secured fit. Even though I went a size up the helmet on my head didn’t look oversized or give the mushroom head look. Wish helmet companies make more helmets that fit us more rounded head folks. I only gave it a 3 because of sizing otherwise I like everything else about this helmet.

I got this as a gift from my lovely wife. I was super excited because being a Swede in the States I love repping Swedish brands. However, the helmet looks dope and is most likely super great I was never able to make a ride with it. I didn't think I had a long head until I tried this one out. I can't adjust the "Y" shape at the ears and my ears are being pushed up, making it not very comfortable to have on. I wish it was possible to adjust them so I could rock this helmet but I will have to pass on POC due to fit and look for another brand.

Agree. Just received mine and it looks great. But the Y of the straps lays right on my ears and is not comfortable. And no adjustment is possible for this. The photo on the website here makes the Y look like it falls much lower than it does.

Every feature this helmet boasts is spot on. It would be a stellar helmet, except for this one deal-breaker: the ear fasteners are not adjustable. You know, the little part where the "Y" of the chin straps comes together... you can't adjust it, its in a fixed position and is sewn in that way. So for me, this leaves the plastic joint at the "Y" resting squarely on my ear lobes. What a disappointment... had to go back. Definitely try on in store before ordering to save yourself the disappointment.

Good looks, easy fit and POC safety

First off measurements: My head is 22.5"/57mm. Size Medium is perfect. I can even wear a winter hat under this helmet. But the best feature of this helmet? The adjustment. Most helmets take no less than 45 minutes to get the strap length right to make the helmet fit. I think most people give up and have the helmet listing to the side or tilting back fully exposing the front of your head. Adjustment is not an issue with POC. Out of the box it nearly fit and with a couple simple adjustments I was ready to ride. Haven't touched the adjustment since and the fit is perfect every time. Two of my riding buddies bought the same helmet after seeing mine and they concur with the simplicity. Added bonus is the rear panel of hi-vis orange. Good to be safe and seen!

Love this thing. Big upgrade in fit and airflow from my previous helmet. Looks great, barely notice it's there when I'm riding.

straps not adjustable

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Fit:
True to size

Was excited for this helmet, given the generally positive reviews and POC's reputation. Unfortunately, the strap splitters are not only non-adjustable, but they are very short. I don't consider myself to have an unusually long head, but the chinstraps on the size large helmet were insufficiently short and would not comfortably fit below my ear. Otherwise, the helmet fit well. Really a bummer.

I love this helmet

This is a very well build helmet, light and above all confortable. It is clear the POC quality on it, making it a great deal for the price. So far I can tell good ventilation, but we’ll see how it handles a south NM summer.

Great fit, bright color that catches the eye on the road, and I know it will protect me in a bad fall since it’s my second POC (first one worked like it’s supposed to, don’t ask about the truck that sideswiped me😞) large vent area will be appreciated during Florida summer heat.

Scooped it up on sale. Wanted a higher end version, but I don't like the bulk of the upper end models. Decided to give this a shot and see if it was worth it. Very happy with my purchase. Lightweight, fits snug, breathes well.

EAR STRAPS DON’T ADJUST AT ALL

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Fit:
True to size

Helmet feels and fits great until I go to buckle it, the ear straps are 1 cm too short and sit on my ear lobes; and they don't adjust at ALL! I want my helmet fit dialed in, I guess back to the drawing board....

Same concern. It has taken a lot of adjusting to get this to fit ok (not perfect). If I didn't already throw away the packaging I would have returned the helmet...

Ear straps don’t adjust well

The helmet is great however can’t raise and lower the “Y” straps to be in the right position below your ears.

Agreed that the Y strap area is not adjustable. I bought the L and the plastic Y is at my ear lobes. What do we do?

Great helmet, great fit, great look, great ventilation. I didn't really know it was on until I was done with my ride. I've always hated how road helmets sit so high??? My go-to and I'm glad I found it. Love POC, I ride their snow line and couldn't be happier!!!

Best Fitting / Most Comfortable Helmet

I've been a long time Giro helmet guy. I had been using the Giro Synthe helmet prior to this one. I really wish I would've tried this POC Omne Air Spin helmet earlier. Much more comfortable and a much better bit. I feel like it looks better than my old helmet and doesn't sit as tall on top of my head -- it is a more streamlined design that I'm excited to make my go-to helmet.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback Creighton!

Took this helmet out for a few rides, and almost forgot I was wearing it. Super light, and comfy. Great ventilation. Didn't have to test out the SPIN technology, but its always great to have something designed by POC keeping me safe. Great helmet!

This is a fantastic helmet for the price. The fit is fantastic as well. My head measures 22 inches on the dot, and the Med has the best fit. The large would fit cranked down all the way but it felt bulky. The Med is right on point! Ventilation is smooth and I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone.

Great Helmet

I’ve been cycling my entire life...now 61. I now primarily ride a Why Cycles titanium hardtail MTB. I come from a triathlete background. I ride to a from most trail heads so I’m not only riding Colorado’s Front Range trails, but also on the road. So, my rides usually last about 3 hours of constant riding. I’ve always used Giro and been happy. This POC helmet has a better fit, looks way slimmer and just looks cool! My Oakley glasses fit nicely in the vents. Speaking of cool...the ventilation is at least equal to my Giro which actually has more vents. The entire helmet adjusts easily and securely...no movement while riding. Matt at Competitive Cyclists is a great guy to work with when deciding a purchase...try the helmet for yourself, it’s worth it!
