Why We Like The POC Essential Enduro Short

Perform at your best on hotter trail rides and midsummer race days with the POC Essential Enduro Short. Constructed from a lightweight stretch material that offers effective wicking and quick drying, these shorts keep you cool, dry, and comfortable—even when temperatures approach triple digits. The enduro-specific fit is pre-shaped for optimal comfort with knee pads, and the shorts feature reinforcements at the rear to prevent them from getting shredded in a crash. An elastic waist band with adjustable hook-and-loop tabs ensures a precision fit, while two zippered side pockets provide secure storage of your belongings.

Disappointed, not great design, 2.5 star

Familiarity:

Really let down, but at least they were cheap, they will definitely be regulated to my back up shorts. My main gripes are - only 2 zipper pockets and they are small, zipper is not great, still fits an i phone but that’s about it - adjustable Velcro straps are absolute trash, i could barely get them to stick on my first day every riding them, they often come un done, then you get the pant sag, very annoying on trails when you are in and out of the saddle - only 1 single button to secure the waist, would not be as big of an issue if the Velcro straps worked - the feel very thin, like they are going to rip with 1 snag on a tree branch or rock Pros - Cost- very cheap compared to most other shorts (was trying not to spend 150$+, but will buying another pair of yetis that were bullet proof for 4 seasons - they look pretty cool - really comfortable, (when not sagging) breathe well, I followed the recommendations to size down and that was a mistake, had to return them and order a bigger size, they fit a little narrower then what I’m used to in bike shorts but the stretch makes them not feel constrictive

Velcro straps on waist are flimsy

The velcro tabs on the waist line are really flimsy, and don't stay fastened very well. During my ride, the velcro kept coming undone, and the shorts would sag, making getting in/out of the saddle slightly annoying, as the nose of the saddle would catch the crotch of the shorts. Can I return them after only 1 use?

I purchased these $100 shorts knowing POC is priced higher but the quality should equal the premium? Well I was wrong . While I like the fit and function. After the first day and I didn't' even crash, I have a 3 inch tear in the middle of my left butt cheek! Never again. Lesson learned.

Nice shorts, ran small for me

Mostly commenting on size. Fabric seems light and tough and they're easy to move in but I haven't owned then long enough to comment on durability. I ordered a small and returned for medium. I'm usually a 32 waist, sometimes a 31 or 30, so that seemed like a good match for small. The shorts would button up but too tight and I couldn't live with the resulting muffin top.

Shorts have a great polished slim fit with enough length to prevent any knee gap with your pads. Velcro waist band dials down the fit. The two pockets fit my iPhone Pro Max and a wallet when popping into the store. Perfect!

Love the fit and material

Familiarity:

I was hesitant to try these because earlier versions seemed to have sizing issues, but the new crop fit bang on. I typically wear a 32" or 33" waist, and the POC mediums are right on the money. Along the same lines, I usually wear 34" inseam pants, and these shorts fall just below my kneecaps. They pair really well with POC VPD Air knee pads, if you're wondering. They don't hang-up at all. The fit and feel are very similar to Pearl Izumi Summit shorts... a nice stretchy and light softshell material with a trimmer cut. Glad I bought 'em!
