Coverage breeds confidence.

Where exactly is the line between dirt jumping and all-mountain riding? We're not sure, but we know its sketchy, and because of that, we're glad to have options like POC's Crane Pure Helmet. The Crane Pure offers maximum coverage for aggressive riding, yet it provides enough ventilation to ensure that you don't overheat when there's no lift to the top. Additionally, in-mold construction keeps the Crane's weight reasonable for a skate-style helmet.

In a crash, the worst-case scenario for your brain is for it to come to an abrupt stop. So what sets the Crane Pure apart from other options is its progressive core construction, which combines a lower-density inner layer with a higher-density outer layer. The inner layer provides ample cushioning for minor dingers, but in the event of a more forceful impact, the outer layer provides a higher level of resistance.

Good looking helmet

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've wore this helmet a few times while commuting to work. It feels like I am not wearing a helmet. It fits snugly but does not strangle you. The ventilation is adequate for the long hauls and the short treks. A ok in my boondoggle.

POC Protection

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Extremely lightweight helmet that I have used for commuting and light mtn biking. Well ventilated and I forget I am wearing it sometimes it fits my head so well.

Nice but bulky

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XL

This is a great looking helmet. Very cool colors and quality material. However, I usually wear an XL so that's what I ordered. The helmet not only fit a little big but the overall profile is very bulky. Somewhat space balls helmet like. This will for sure be an upgrade from a Walmart helmet but I will be making the upgrade to the POC receptor. It has supposedly been redisgned with a slimmer profile

Great helmet for the price!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this helmet for mountain biking and it has worked out great so far! It is affordable, lightweight, and vents really well. This helmet would also work well for skateboarding, rollerblading, skiing, snowboarding (with a hat underneath or on warmer days), and more. The fit is right on according to the size chart (link next to "Select a Size").

POC Crane pure

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This helmet is awesome. Haven't hit my head yet so can't tell ya how it'll work but great fit, cool colors and have received many compliments and questions. I guess it's a bike helmet but I also use it for touring as it is light and looks great. Get one, you won't regret it!

POC Crane pure

Love being SAFE

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I picked this helmet up as a commuter helmet, and I'm confident there is nothing better on the market to fit my needs. If you've read my reviews before you'll know that I'm a firm believer in POC- they fit very well, they're very durable, and they're mighty fine lookin'.
The Crane Pure is an excellent basic helmet. It's super comfortable, actually makes me want to wear a helmet on the roads. My head measures 57-58cm and the M/L is the perfect fit. I also love that they come with removable and additional padding so you can dial in the fit that's right for you. The open vents are nice, nothing fancy but they definitely do help get some airflow moving. Plus it's just a good sleek look! Another awesome POC make, two thumbs up!
