Crafted with an ergonomic four-panel design, the POC Contour Bib Shorts deliver full freedom of motion on your bicycle. The fabric itself consists of a durable warp knitted stretch with a compact structure for muscle stabilization and recovery benefits. Moreover, its highly breathable mesh bibs facilitate the movement of air for a cool, airy feel on hot summer rides.

Featuring an integrated Contour chamois, this bib short not only reduces road vibration and saddle soreness, but it actually optimizes your cycling position with its body-shaped VPDS inserts. These 3D-molded, silicone-based inserts optimize airflow with their strategically tapered shape. Ultimately, this means you'll be able to ride longer and farther than ever, without chafing or uncomfortable sweat build-up. Other key features include silicone leg grippers for a secure, stay-put fit, as well as a rear bib pocket for holding a compact media player. Additionally, there's a reflective rear hit for extra visibility after dark.

Big quads only

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Took these shorts out on their inaugural ride today, and came away with mixed impressions.

Positive: Feels like quality material, and I would give the chamois very high marks. Very comfortable, and while I was only out for about 2 hours, I could tell the chamois would go the distance on a much longer ride. Contrary to some other reviews, no problems yet with the logos. Good looking shorts, too, I think.

Negative: Three issues here.

1) I actually really like the grippers on the shorts (again, contrary to some other reviews), but two issues with them. First, they are, only about an inch wide, so the total gripping surface area is less than what you might find on other shorts. I don't think this would be a real problem except for the fact that, second, I think the shorts were designed for people with bigger quads than I'm currently sporting. I'm 6'4" and a bit lanky. My quads aren't getting it done here, and the shorts did ride up a bit as a result.

2) The shorts are a bit loose in that they are not extremely tight. See above...without great leg gripping, and not particularly tight through the hips, they do tend to ride up and bunch a bit. Not too distracting, just not ideal.

3) The bibs, overall, are a bit short from top to bottom (for me). Again, I'm fairly tall, so even with an XL, it did not come as a huge surprise that the shoulder straps tended to dig into my shoulders a bit.

So, overall, not too bad. I like the look, and this is not the first time I've had difficulty finding clothing (cycling or otherwise) that is a perfect fit. I'd say buy these if you are more of an average sized person with bigger quads, and you'll be all set.

Better deals out there but not bad

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

The poc lettering has begun to peel off already and while I wear this bibs once a week it seems like it has happened a bit quickly. I haven't had the issue with the bibs sliding up on my ride and I would not say that they are uncomfortable but they are not my go to bibs.

Super comfortable!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just got off the bike after the 20 mile maiden voyage of these bibs and im super impressed! I’m 5’11” 195lbs with squatters thighs and the large fits very comfortably. The bibs I have been using prior to purchasing these where pearl izumi elite pursuit. The sizing and fit are very close to one another but the material of the shorts and quality of the chamois is where these two bibs differ tremendously. To the hands the chamois on the contour bibs feels more dense and a little tougher, but while on the saddle it’s like heaven for your ass! After a moderate 20 mile distance I have zero complaints with the contour where as this is about the max distance that I take my pearl izumi’s to due to the chamois feeling like it is collapsing. It’s very impressive how tight to your body and shape the chamois molds itself to your body while riding. No chaffing or numbness what so ever and for the first ride I’m pleasantly surprised there where no hot spots. The leg grippers are not as “aggressive” as my pearl bibs but held in place very nicely and comfortably. I would very happily pay the full $244 for these bibs, but super excited I got them for $130!!

No Leg Grippers

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XXXLARGE

No Leg Grippers, or ones that actually grip. Without real leg grippers the bibs move up during ride and cause chamois to lose its proper placement. I have used these bibs twice and each time I had to stop numerous times to make necessary adjustments. Who makes a product like this? Sadly, I now know what POC stands for—.

Be wary of sizing

  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Medium

Be aware of the sizing. Based on the POC size chart I should wear a medium but they run large (at least in the medium). At my size the medium is almost baggy and is not a snug fit. I would return them if I still had the original packaging.

VERY Disappointed !!

  • Size Bought: Large

Truly like the company Competitive Cyclist so this is not a shot at them....but rather POC....Picked up package today....VERY DISAPPOINTED...These are really Black Bibs not Navy as depicted in the picture; even in sunlight -- these are black....I NEEDED BLUE (Medium - to- Dark) but not black...I have plenty of black bibs...will try them on shortly...then will decide whether o not to request an RMA....

Srsly?? This has nothing to do with the quality/fit/experience of these bibs. Sorry this shade of navy isn't up to snuff of 'your kit', but no one really cares.

these and all of the navy black gear from POC are indeed a very dark navy. you shouldn't be complaining.

I had the exact same issue. I thought they would be navy because that’s what they were listed as but they are very much black.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Medium

Very nice bib shorts. Super comfy. They do run large so I would size down. I didn't have problems with the logos peeling.

I would the construction at least on par with good castellis, giordanas. Notch below Assos.

never again

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

If you pay this much money for bib shorts and on the first ride the logo begins to peel off of the leg, then what does that say about the quality of the product?

same thing happened to me on with the Fundo short - before I even washed them.
