Description

A VIP sleeve.

The four-way stretch fabric of the POC AVIP sleeves has a brushed interior for softness and light warmth, while the pre-bent shape prevents pulling and bunching when you're in the drops. Soft silicone keeps the AVIP from slipping, and orange wrists and reflective details provide an extra shot of visibility.

Good and bad.

Got these mainly because of the color. These days when I’m riding I want to have as much bright contrast on as possible so idiot drivers hopefully see me. These fit that bill perfectly. The white is great but the orange is better. What I’m not quite sure about (the bad)is why POC decided to sew two pieces of fabric together to make a simple arm sleeve? Two seams do not make for a comfortable sleeve. I love POC helmets. Doubt I’ll ever use a different brand but I’m not so sure about their clothing line. Looking at reviews for other pieces I can see I’m not alone.

    they slide

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large

Cool looking but began to slide within four times using

    Way too big

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

POC may make good helmets, but their clothing line is far from being excellent. I think one of the biggest problem is the cut and sizing. I ordered a AVIP women's jersey in size small. It's cut very loose at waist, not flattering at all. Same problem with this pair of arm warmers. Size small feels like size large. Big and wide cut. They don't fit like what normal arm warmers should. Loose and all puckered. I put them side by side in comparison with my Assos arm warmers. The sizing is just terrible.

On the picture I attached, the POC sleeve I got is size SMALL. The other two sleeve are both Medium(Assos and Castelli). How is size SMALL looks and fits so much bigger than size Medium??? I just don't get it.

Did POC ever have people to try on those pieces before releasing them to the market?

    Way too big

    Fancy and hi-vis

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The reflective "POC" logo on the left arm is well strategically placed as side traffic should see it. The hi-vis orange wrist area adds safety for people to see you.

I purchased a medium and it takes a bit of effort to fit right, but works well. Knowing how to put it on (directionally) helps. I still haven't figured it out as it creases on certain areas.

Compression is tight without being restrictive.

I live in San Francisco and have worn these half a dozen times. Does the job like any arm warmer. I bought it for style points.
