Aero skin.

POC's Aero TT Suit blends the time-tested skinsuit model with POC's own specialists at the in-house WATTS Lab for a design as aerodynamic as it is well-fitted. The back and shoulders are key to the latter quality, so POC ensures an accommodating fit with a four-way stretch material. The fabric's high stretch means it eliminates excess material and hugs your body like a second skin, and the dimpled finish further reduces drag by managing otherwise-turbulent air lamina.

The lower legs also feature dimpling, and the material's compressive properties support muscles and help to reduce fatigue-causing vibration and muscle oscillation. Compression also improves circulation over the course of a time trail to help you stay fresh for the final push. The front, neck, and lowerback continue the trend of low-profile aerodynamics but without the high-stretch quality of the dimpled fabrics, and breathability, moisture wicking, and heat reflecting Coldblack technology are general across the suit's construction.

POC's Chrono chamois is built with silicone inserts placed strategically to accommodate the dos and don'ts of anatomical support across short, intense efforts. The Aero TT Suit is finished with seamless, integrated leg grippers, which — like the full-length sleeves — lie flat and eliminate air-catching transition ridges between skin, gripper bands, and suit.

Odd Fit

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

I am reviewing this in the hopes of helping someone else dial in the fit. I ordered the POC Aero TT suit in a medium. I am proportioned with a long torso and short inseam (only 31 inches on the inseam). Finally my arm span is 6 foot 3 inches. The suit was TOO LONG in the sleeves, too loose in the waist and too tight in the shoulders. I burst a seam on the first zip up, yet ended up with flapping sleeves. Cannot recommend.

Fantastic skinsuit! (Runs Small)

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

First of all, I love all of the POC gear. I currently use the POC Cerebral TT helmet, as well as their gloves and booties -- excellent gear. The quality of this skinsuit is superb. I like the material and the look is super cool, and black is the way to go. I talked to a customer service rep at Competitive Cyclist, and I mentioned that I wore a medium in my normal road shorts and jerseys, yet was concerned if the POC skinsuit ran small. I think I'm fairly average in build -- 5' 11" tall, 168lbs, waist is 31", chest is 39", and thighs are 20". I was informed that the POC skinsuit was more tailored to the Northern or Nordic build, so a bit more broad chested and full in the upper body. So I purchased the Medium skinsuit thinking it would be a perfect fit. I tried the suit on, and of course all skinsuits are supposed to be tight, so that is a given, and they are not supposed to be 100% comfortable. The suit fit perfect in the legs and even in the chest and arms. However, it was VERY tight around the arm pits. I'm not exactly buff in the upper body, and also don't have that stereotypical emaciated, concave chest of a touring road cyclist either. But the tightness was very distracting, and so distracting that I'd probably lose my focus on a 40K TT. So, I returned the Medium and got a Large, and it fit perfectly. So this is my interpretation of the sizing chart. If I had gone by chest size, I'd be a Medium. If I had gone with waist size, I'd be between Small and Medium. So the POC TT suit most certainly runs small, by one size, and I'd go by your chest size first, because I fit in both the Medium and Large from a waist and thighs perspective.
