Description

Loam Dropper Seatpost

Replacing the PNW Bachelor Dropper Post, the Loam Dropper brings many of the same features we loved on the Bachelor with great frame compatibility and a lighter weight. A redesigned stanchion allows less of the post to be inserted in the frame, so more frames can accommodate the dropper post and riders can run a post with more travel. Like the Rainer Gen 3, the new Loam Dropper allows you to customize the suspension travel by reducing the travel up to 25mm in 5mm increments. Finally, an updated actuator boasts PNW's smoothest action ever for better overall ride quality as you hit the trail.

  • PNW's newest dropper to give you greater confidence on the trails
  • Redesigned stanchion for shorter insertion length, fitting more frames
  • Travel adjust allows for reducing travel in 5mm increments up to 35mm
  • Updated actuator for smoother operation
  • Lever sold separately for personal selection

Rattles Like Empty Beer Can

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought
34.9 x 200mm

Had high hopes for this dropper. First ride out it rattles terribly at full extension. That’s a non-starter right there. Second, the lever feel is stiffer than other posts I’ve used. I’d steer clear as QC seems nonexistent. Returning..

I had the same issue with the rattle, but PNW Customer Service gave me simple, 3-minute instructions to fix the issue. Part of the solution was to pump the post up to 280 - 300 psi, as the installation instructions indicate. Works like a dream with now, with no rattle whatsoever.

Does the seatpost come with cable and housing? If not, what is the appropriate cable/housing to use with this product.

The PNW posts do not include cable, and housing. This is provided with their levers (sold separately). You can use our item number JAGA007 to set this post up.

Pnw loam dropper

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Great post. Lite weight. And backed by the best company and warranty. I own as few pnw post and in the rare occasion of a failure PNW make it right all the time

I have had nothing but amazing customer service from CC/Backcountry.

Terrible customer service.

This is not about the dropper post. I filed a warranty claim over 3 weeks ago and still nobody has gotten back to me. I called customer service a couple time, and they just give me the run around. This is the last time I am ordering from Competitive Cyclist/Backcountry.com. Stay away from those companies, if there is something wrong with your item they will just ignore you. Update: it has been almost 6 weeks now since I filed a warranty claim, and still no response. Terrible customer service. Buy your bike stuff somewhere else.

Pnw will warranty this post instantly. Call pnw. Best customer service. And if you call backcountry they will also handle it too.
