Item # PNW000TBachelor IR Dropper Seatpost
Whether your ride consists of a lung-busting climb leading to an epic descent, or endless stretches of undulating singletrack, being able to adjust your saddle height on the fly is key to becoming a faster rider. PNW Components understands that you need a lightweight and reliable dropper post to tackle this type of trail riding, and created the Bachelor IR Dropper Seatpost so you can climb easier and descend faster.
The Bachelor is all new and shiny for 2019. PNW upgraded the already loved post with a larger diameter stanchion for increased post stiffness and a lighter overall weight. The New Bachelor also gets an added DU bushing for enhanced wobble resistance, eliminating tedious side to side play at the saddle.
Some of you may wonder how the Bachelor differs from PNW Components' other internally routed dropper post, the Rainier. Well, the Bachelor uses a replaceable sealed air cartridge as opposed to a coil spring, and is also made out of a lighter 7075 alloy.
- PNW's leading dropper is even lighter and more reliable
- Larger diameter stanchion increases the post's stiffness
- Added DU bushing for improved wobble resistance
- Sealed damping cartridge offers consistent performance
- Adjustable air pressure to customize the return speed
- Infinite Adjust lets you set your saddle height anywhere
- Backed by an impressive 3 year warranty

Great and Reliable Post!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The Bachelor is a pretty awesome! It has very little side-to-side play in it, and has adjustments for seat return speed. I also like the fact that you can rebuild and service the post yourself when the time comes.
Awesome post

People often say, 'This is a great post for the price,' but I would definitely leave off the 'for the price' part. It's a very reasonably priced piece of equipment, but the performance gives exactly zero indication of where it sits in the pricing hierarchy. It's fast, smooth, and has that nice little 'thunk' at the top-out point to tell you it's time to let go of the lever.
I forget about it because it's so good at its job, and that's all I can ask from any component.
Love my PNW dropper
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I ride 2 to 3 times a week 10 to 15 miles on rough techy trails, the dropper is up and down a lot, after a couple hundred miles it is broke in and still works great!
PNW also has great customer service, I have contacted them a few times with questions and they always get back to me within one day.
Does this come with a lever or is that sold separately?
The lever is sold separately and PNW have a couple different options. Take a look at item: PNW000Q
Easy to install and great function
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
My gearhead Jacob was awesome with helping me make sure this fit my bike and answering questions I had about included hardware. I was very pleased with how easy this dropper was to install, I had it all hooked up and ready to go in 20 mins. I have put almost 100 miles of use on it so far with zero issues. The action is super smooth, even with it getting caked in mud during this wet spring. I am running this on a second generation Surly Karate Monkey.
