Staying hydrated has never been so convenient.

Save space while staying hydrated with the Platypus DuoLock SoftBottle. Its collapsible design allows for easy and efficient storage and makes it extremely lightweight. Use it on your next run and forget you're even carrying anything by the time you're done. Or, stash it in your backpack as an extra bottle in case you won't have a chance to fill up for a while. It easily flattens and rolls flat to make it easy to carry, stuff in packs, or even stash in your pocket, and the DuoLock cap ensures it won't spill when it's full. If you don't have any space to stuff it in your pack when it's filled up, a wire gate clip lets you attach it to the outside of your bag.

Leaked near the cap

This was perfect for kayaking because I could clip it onto my PFD. However, the seam has split near the cap of the bottle and it's started leaking. So disappointed with what I thought was a great product. :(

Simon Steen

Platypus Duolock Softbottle Flexible Water Bottle purchased on 2020, now split. My previous version lasted 20 years plus but this one - not so good. Great product usually but this one hopeless as it is torn at neck between handle and opening.

Durability issues

Bought two of these for ski touring - one tore through around the neck by the karabiner clip and leaked into my rucksack after only using for a couple of days - and the second is also starting to tear on the opposite end of the clip - there is to much strain on the plastic from the karabiner getting twisted sideways inside a pack.

Leaked :(

Was excited after having this platypus bottles but it leaked near the lid after pretty minimal use.

Was nice...

Was excited after having a few platypus bottles in the past, but it leaked near the lid after pretty minimal use.

Duolock - rip near the cap

I bought a Duolock water bottle 2 years ago. Used it on about 6 short trips, maybe 15 days total. My feedback is that the bottle has torn beside the cap, on the "clip" side, and now leaks. It is a weak point. I like the bottle. It's very light and will likely buy another. I'm pretty hard on my gear and don't expect a warranty repair, but if you want to improve the product, I would focus on that area. Hope that helps.

Failed on first big trip.

Neck ripped on first flight away so spent that trip using disposable bottles. UK reseller Outdoor Action Ltd responded poorly on 5th attempt and only following a bad Google review and threat of legal action. We shouldn't have to pay for warranty issues to be 'investigated'. By the looks of the reviews here this needs a product recall before someone electronics are damaged due to failure.

It broke in one week

I just bought it 2 weeks ago. Used it a couple times before our trip. Worked well. 1 week into heavy use, the image on the outside is peeling and there is a rip next to the cap. Another couple of uses it will be leaking throug the rip.

Bottle Leaks

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I thought this was a great purchase for a few months. Then a leak developed between the bottle opening and the handle along the seam. After reading the reviews, I see this is a common problem.

Misleading DuoLock; Incompatible w/ QuickDraw

I liked the bottle in general, not much heavier than others I've used. Like the clip and use as a carry handle. However, I bought this with the idea it could be used as a dirty water bottle in conjunction with the QuickDraw filer: IT IS NOT. The DuoLock system on this bottle is a smaller diameter than the QuickDraw system. Hence, it is basically useless to me. Glad I try things at home before heading to the trails. Now it will just collect dust and I'll use EverNew bottles with the QuickDraw (which I quite like, much better than the other well known brand I was using).
