Love this tyre
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Fit:
- True to size
I’ve put 414 miles on this tire and love every minute of my rides. I find this tires is great on the road, bike paths, fire roads, etc. Given that I live in Southern Cal, I don’t have experience with serious inclement weather, but for what it’s worth, it’s braved the climate here from summer through what we call winter. The comfort and performance will have me always put this on my consideration list. Will try Conti, Michelin, or Goodyear to see the difference, but it’ll be hard to unseat my preferred Pirelli.

Great Tires @500+miles

I bought these tires to replace a set of Michelen 4 Pro Endurance, that I plainly hated. I mounted them on my Cannondale Six and found them to be extremely good, but I don't consider myself a 'expert' on the road, but I haven't had any issues - knock on wood. There were such a great buy that I purchased a second set while one sale. I will swap them on to my brand to Cervelo R5 after I burn through my stock Continental 4000

I am not sure what the other reviewer means by multiple "side wall blowouts." It sounds like they mean it was not seated properly. These seat easily on my DTSwiss rims. You can even get them on without levers, no problem. I have put a couple of hundred miles on them so far. I did tear-up a sidewall on one of these, but you can not blame it on a tire at this weight. I just hit a metal bolt in the road perfectly wrong. Plus, I was riding at 75 psi, well below the recommended minimum for the 25x700. Sometimes bad luck debris just crushes your tire road riding. I did not hesitate to buy an exact replacement. If that destroyed tire does indeed turn-out to be a fluke, which I am sure it was, and I would take this up to 5-stars.

Sidewall blowouts

These tires came with my bike. This was the first time I used Pirelli tires. Within about one month, I had two sidewall blowouts - one on a high speed descent. I will not be using them again.

All good

Durable, well-behaved tire. 1.5 seasons riding this tire so far. Only 2-3 punctures I can recall. Riding rough and dirty city streets, even 1 of my crit races.

Hi Robert-Any chance I could speak with you regarding this experience? It happened to someone else also on a high speed descent and he was seriously injured.
