Disaster at every turn !
- Size Bought
I have wanted a Pinarello Dogma for quite some time, however Competitive Cyclist made sure to make every turn of this event painful and extremely disappointing. First of all, they shipped the bike with the incorrect chain ring, and due to its size had to cut the chain, when I asked for a replacement chain, I was informed they would not have one for at least 3 months ! ...they did offer to provide a Sram Force chain instead of the Red which is what I ordered. Who wants a $17,000 bike with the incorrect chain. Second issue, the paint scheme was off center on the top tube and looked terrible, this is for a bike that cost nearly $17,000 .....I was told that the bikes are hand painted and to expect flaws, however I have learned that Pinarello is coming out with the F14, and I have to wonder if these bike are simply factory blemished bikes that were sold as a closeout at a discount ? Third issue, the decal on stem/steer tube was coming off, again a $17,000 bike Fourth issue, DEATH WOBBLE ...I experienced front end wobble first day using bike as I was riding down a mountain, sag vehicle behind me noticed this and thought I had a flat, I purchased the bike with Zip 404's, I became aware after this scary incident that sometimes air oscillation between certain wheelsets and frame forks can occur, I am not sure what caused this or even if it was a freak event, but certainly something to be aware of, Pibarello should advise us of which wheelsets are safe. Competiive Cyclist claim they cannot replace this bike for months and possibly into 2022, yet they are keeping my money ! It really is a shame, because this could be a great bike, if the vendors could act like professionals

I just got my custom F12 disc build yesterday, pictured here. First off huge thanks to Ian and Ankit for their expert advice and help every step of the way. I am upgrading from a 2016 F8 rim brake build and the difference is profound. The F12 is fast. It is hard to describe why, but it feels like a Ferrari and is very easy to fly with it. At the same time, the bike feels much stiffer than the F8 - it feels as solid as a tank. No creaks or rattles, solid on the ground and confidence inspiring. Bombing down hills and stopping quickly with disk breaks is wonderful having come from rim brakes. The MOST Talon Ultra 1k handlebars are a dream and the lack of external cables make this feel like a bike from the future. Note that the Ultra 1k measures outside to outside vs center to center so take that into account when ordering Highly recommended bike!
